Role:
Responsible for planning, creating, and managing content across Brazos Valley School’s social media channels. This role plays a key part in increasing brand awareness, engagement, and community involvement through compelling storytelling, photography, and video production. In addition to social media content creation, this position will support the Marketing department other initiatives, such as special events and capturing multimedia content to promote growth of the Credit Union by attracting new members.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Develop and publish engaging social media content—including written posts, photos, graphics, and short-form videos on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.)
2. Edit and produce short-form video content that aligns with BVSCU’s brand voice, messaging, and marketing goals.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate social media campaigns, promotions, and member engagement initiatives, and support creative project execution
4. Assist with planning and managing social media giveaways and raffles, ensuring compliance and positive member participation.
5. Support FCU-sponsored events through on-site and off-site coverage and create related social content.
6. Monitor and interact with social media audiences and assist with managing Google reviews to maintain a positive online reputation.
7. Assist with updating the website and digital platforms with current information.
8. Track analytics (likes, shares, comments, reach) and provide summary reports.
9. Collaborate with the Graphics Coordinator to ensure brand consistency.
10. Stay informed about social media trends and share ideas for engagement.
11. Represents the credit union at events by capturing photos and videos for promotional use.
12. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services area to include (but not limited to): USA Patriot ACT, Red Flags, Truth in Savings, Privacy, etc.
13. Develops and maintains strong knowledge of credit union products and services.
14. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
• Minimum one year of marketing/business development experience preferred.
• A high school education or GED required. Two-year degree preferred.
• Ability to display strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze data for equitable resolutions.
• Ability to manage projects through to completion.
• Proficient with problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work irregular hours as dictated by scheduled events.
• Ability to work on-site at designated location.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle for job related travel.
• Ability to speak to groups of all sizes in a professional and precise manner.
• Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy and model exemplary member service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
• Must be bondable
Ergonomic Considerations:
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6 to 7 hours per day).
• Must be able to view a computer screen, use a keyboard to enter information, and manipulate a mouse.
• Job includes some repetitive hand/wrist motions.
• Ability to operate office machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
