Overview:

The Social Media Community Manager will be responsible for developing social media strategies focused around building relationships with the SCHEELS customer base. This individual is the caretaker of the SCHEELS online brand presence. The Community Manager should quickly understand and support initiatives that will contribute to positive customer sentiment and strong customer engagement. This role will need excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be an expert in brand voice.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement social and digital media content strategies that align with the goals of SCHEELS and its key vendors and adapt for regional trends and relevance. This includes creation of the local content calendar and working collaboratively with local teams on content to support events and community initiatives
  • Budget Governance: Collaborate with the Social Media Leader by managing/monitoring the appropriate social media budgets
  • Training & Onboarding: Coordinate and facilitate onboarding training for new local social hires to ensure team alignment and success
  • Advertising Management: Manage and coordinate large-scale advertising projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, delivered to the appropriate locations, dates, and within the allocated budget
  • New Market Branding: Introduce SCHEELS to new markets through the use of social media, collaborating with the local marketing team on content leading up to, during, and post grand openings
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze data and customer sentiment to provide actionable recommendations that increase reach, engagement, web traffic, and conversions
  • Customer Service: Deliver premier service to both internal teams and social followers through professional, timely, and authentic community engagement
  • Brand Safety: Ensure social media compliance with intellectual property, partner policies, and vendor guidelines
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with merchandising, buying, and marketing offices to execute cohesive promotions, events, partnerships, contests, and integrated digital campaigns
  • Operational Excellence: Ability to manage and coordinate projects so they are organized and delivered on time with a high level of quality

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidates will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, one to two years of experience in social media marketing with demonstrated successes; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
