University of South FloridaThe Office of Advancement Communications and Marketing (ACM) is a key unit within the Division of University Advancement/USF Foundation Inc. With a staff of 16 full-time Administration employees and two student employees, ACM’s purpose is to serve as strategic partners with Advancement and university leaders to inspire and engage our alumni, donors, patients, students, faculty, staff and friends. We create compelling communications in all forms and enhance existing content.
The Social Media Officer manages all aspects of USF Advancement’s social media channels, from planning to execution to reporting. This team member will become the social media subject matter expert for ACM and be a valuable contributor to strategic marketing planning.

Responsibilities
· Actively manage USF Advancement’s social media channels, including @USFAlumni, @AdvanceUSF and executive leadership aacounts. This includes creating and/or managing post drafts and advertising; routing content for editing and approval; scheduling and/or real-time posting; responding to direct messages and comments in a timely manner;
· Assist Sr. Director of Marketing in creating and managing paid social campaigns throughout the year
· Engage with teams across the university (colleges, Athletics, University Communications & Marketing, etc.) for collaborative social campaigns to maximize reach and engagement
· Participate in strategic communications, marketing planning initiatives and innovations as the subject-matter expert for social media. Keep up with the latest trends and changes in the social media landscape.
· Attend events as needed, both during and outside standard office hours, to capture photo and video content for real-time social media coverage. In some cases, this may include being available to post and share content in real time without attending the event, using assets provided by an on-site photographer.
· Monitor and/or advise on affiliated social media channels and report on metrics for ACM-managed accounts.
· Oversee Digital Bulls social ambassador program, creating emails in email-marketing platform to contribute to ACM’s overall marketing initiatives and raise awareness on university news.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and one to two years of related experience. Experience managing social media platforms for an organization, with a demonstrated ability to strategically grow engagement.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.
