Description

Ryan Lawn & Tree is looking for a creative, outgoing, and highly proactive Social Media Coordinator to help bring our brand's social and digital advertising presence to life.

This role goes beyond posting and scheduling: you'll be the person behind the camera capturing raw content and the editor polishing it into scroll-stopping posts and ads, working closely with the Marketing Manager, who will set strategic direction, collaborate with you on content ideas, and provide industry knowledge and guidance as content is being created and captured.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who's ready to learn, grow, and build real hands-on experience across content creation, social media management, and digital advertising. The ideal candidate is comfortable being in front of and behind the camera, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is eager to develop skills with editing software and ad platforms. If you love storytelling, have an eye for trends, and get energized by turning everyday moments into engaging content, we want to hear from you.

What you'll do:

  • Capture original photo and video content on-site (events, behind-the-scenes, team, product, customers) using DJI, GoPro, and/or camera equipment.
  • Edit photos and videos into polished, platform-ready content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, static posts, carousels etc).
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice, aesthetic, and tone across all channels.
  • Stay on top of platform trends, formats, and audio trends to keep content fresh and relevant.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager on building a content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms, aligned with strategy set by the Marketing Manager.
  • Schedule and publish content, and monitor engagement, comments, and messages.
  • Capture and edit content specifically for paid social ads and video ad requests.
  • Maintain and support Meta Ads campaigns (Facebook/Instagram), including capturing content for ad creative, monitoring performance, and assisting with reporting.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on ad creative briefs, A/B testing, and performance reporting.
  • Fulfill internal video/content requests from other departments as needed.
  • Partner closely with the Marketing Manager to translate strategy and campaign goals into content, learning industry context and best practices along the way.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights on organic and paid content.
  • Represent the brand at events, shoots, and in-person activations as needed.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in social media, content creation, marketing, or a related internship/freelance background; recent grads encouraged to apply.
  • Outgoing and camera-comfortable: not afraid to be on camera or approach people to capture content.
  • Proactive self-starter: able to spot content opportunities without being told and manage your own workflow.
  • Comfortable with (or eager to learn) editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, CapCut, and/or Canva.
  • General understanding of social platform best practices (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and juggling multiple projects/deadlines.
  • A strong creative eye and genuine interest in content trends and storytelling.
