As Social Media and Communications Coordinator, you'll lead the creation and delivery of compelling content that brings the stories of BCE schools and communities to life. Working across a range of social and digital platforms, you'll combine creativity, strategy and data-driven insights to strengthen audience engagement and support organisational priorities. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional who enjoys content creation, stakeholder engagement and staying ahead of digital trends.

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies, content plans and editorial calendars
  • Create, source and publish engaging content across a range of digital platforms
  • Adapt content, tone and messaging to suit different audiences and channels
  • Support the planning and delivery of digital campaigns and marketing initiatives
  • Monitor social media activity, community sentiment and emerging issues
  • Analyse channel performance and provide insights to improve engagement and reach
  • Build strong relationships with schools and internal stakeholders to identify and amplify content opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of digital communication guidelines, processes and best practice frameworks

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Experience managing social media channels and digital content programs
  • Strong content creation skills, including copywriting, visual content and video editing
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, audience engagement and digital communication trends
  • Experience using analytics and reporting tools to measure campaign and channel performance
  • The ability to translate data and insights into practical recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience working collaboratively across teams
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Qualifications in communications, marketing, public relations, digital marketing or a related discipline are highly regarded

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Positive Notice Blue Card for working with Children
  • QLD Driver's Licence
