Position Summary
The Senior Social Media Coordinator owns the day-to-day voice and presence of WashU Bursky School of Public Health across its social media channels and helps extend the online presence of the school's leadership. As the first new school at Washington University in St. Louis in a century, and one of the newest schools of public health in the country, the school is introducing itself to the world at a defining moment, and social media is where much of that introduction happens. This role requires independence and initiative to support building out social media content for key priorities, including admissions efforts, in an evolving high-growth environment. This role translates the school's rigorous research and its distinctive approach to public health into clear, compelling content that reaches the audiences the school most wants to engage: current and prospective students, current and prospective faculty and staff, peer institutions, community partners, leaders in the field of public health, alumni, and donors. While the focus is social media, the coordinator will also support other content efforts as needed. Strong editing and storytelling skills are a must.
