About TNT Growth

TNT Growth is a performance-driven growth marketing agency that embeds directly into our clients' businesses to drive measurable results. We operate across paid media, creative strategy, and analytics — and we hold ourselves to a standard of excellence that shows up in every account, every week. We don't just run campaigns. We drive impact!

About the Role

The Principal, Performance Marketing is a newly created role that owns the performance standard across TNT's entire client book. This is not a team/pod lead role, and it is not a people manager role. It is a standard-bearer role — the person who sees across all pods simultaneously, identifies performance risk before it becomes a client problem, leads rescues on at-risk accounts, and coaches Pod Leads on the craft of performance.

You will report directly to the Head of Growth and operate as a key strategic partner on account health, at-risk escalations, and performance quality across the agency. Your authority is over the standard — not the pod rosters.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Cross-Pod Performance Standard You set and maintain the performance benchmark for every active account across all three Growth pods. Every account has a green, yellow, or red status. You know what each one is, why it is, and what is being done about it. The standard doesn't move because one pod had a tough week — you hold it.
  • Run the Weekly Account-Health Review You lead the weekly cadence that surfaces the health of the full client book. You own early-warning identification — catching yellow accounts before they go red, and catching red accounts before they become churn. You present a clear, evidence-based picture of account health to the Head of Growth each week.
  • Lead Red-Account Rescues When an account is in crisis, you lead the rescue. You have authority to pull resources across pods — analysts, creatives, strategists — with the Head of Growth as tiebreak if needed. You own the save plan, the timeline, and the outcome.
  • Coach Pod Leads on Performance Craft You have a dotted-line coaching relationship with the three Pod Leads. You are not their manager — but you are the person who holds the performance standard they're accountable to, and you work with them directly to close gaps, sharpen strategy, and build their capability. Your coaching is specific, grounded in account data, and focused on craft.
  • Partner with the Head of Growth on Capacity and Expansion You are a thought partner to the Head of Growth on where the team is stretched, where accounts have room to grow, and where staffing-to-performance decisions need to be made. You bring data and pattern recognition; you help inform the decisions that shape the Growth team's capacity and client mix.

What Success Looks Like

  • 30 Days: You are fully onboarded across all three pods. The weekly account-health review is running. You have established a baseline green/yellow/red status for every active account.
  • 60 Days: You own the account-health cadence independently. At least one at-risk account rescue is underway with a documented save plan. You have an established coaching rhythm with each Pod Lead.
  • 90 Days: Flagged accounts show measurable health improvement. Save and retention tracking is in place. The Head of Growth's direct escalations on account performance have materially decreased because you caught the problems first.

What We're Looking For

  • MUST have 7+ years of hands-on paid media experience across Meta, Google, and/or TikTok
  • You can evaluate campaign performance at a granular level, not just read a dashboard
  • Demonstrated experience managing or coaching a team of growth marketers or paid media managers — you know how to develop performance craft in others
  • Strong analytical instincts — you can look at an account's KPIs and know immediately what's wrong, why, and what to try first
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-client agency or embedded marketing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — you will be presenting account health weekly and coaching peers on sensitive performance conversations
  • Comfort operating without a formal reporting line — your authority comes from expertise and standard-setting, not org chart position
  • Proficiency with ClickUp or similar project management tools; experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and performance analytics platforms required
  • Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for research, reporting, and workflow acceleration is a strong plus
