Job Description

C2's client, an award-winning, independent, women-owned, full-service agency built on media expertise, seeks a contract Paid Search & Social Specialist to manage and optimize paid search and paid social campaigns.

The agency keeps strategy, execution, and optimization in close conversation across omnichannel campaigns. This contract role adds paid search and paid social capacity to that work, with campaign management running from August 2026 through the first quarter of 2027.

The right person is an experienced, self-directed paid media operator who delivers precise work on deadline. The client is also open to splitting the work between two contractors, so candidates strong in either paid search or paid social, rather than both, are still worth a conversation.

Start Date: Training begins mid-July 2026; campaign management begins August 2026
Duration: Contract through Q1 2027, asynchronous, 4 to 10 hours per week (project dependent)
Location: Remote, with NYC or Albany, NY preferred
Compensation: $40-$44/hr. Commensurate with experience
Technology: Talent must provide their own hardware and software.

Job Description

Training comes from the VP of Digital and the Senior Media Director, Search & Social. From there, the contractor reports to the Media Director or works directly alongside the client's full-time search and social specialists, depending on the project.

This suits a seasoned operator who manages their own hours and hits deadlines without oversight. Hours run light and project-dependent, in the range of four to ten per week, so it works well for someone looking to layer focused, high-skill campaign work alongside other commitments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in weekly digital campaign reporting across social, search, and Google platforms, comparing metrics across reporting systems and developing analysis with recommended optimizations for approval and implementation
  • Optimize continuously across ads, ad sets, campaigns, and platforms to improve week-over-week performance, including search query reports, creative optimizations, and budget recommendations
  • Pull supplemental reporting figures as needed, including demographic, geographic, behavioral, and reach and frequency insights
  • Monitor pacing of placements and adjust budgets and bids throughout each flight
  • Communicate with your counterpart or supervisor on a case-by-case basis for each project

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in paid digital media, with hands-on experience in Meta Ads Manager and Google Search (Google Ads)
  • An active personal Meta Ads Manager account, required so you can be added to the client's Business Manager account
  • Strong analytical and mathematical acumen, with the attention to detail that accurate reporting and continuous optimization demand
  • Comfort working independently and delivering finished work by set deadlines without daily oversight

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with additional paid platforms: Snapchat, TikTok, Reddit, Nextdoor, LinkedIn, Bing/Microsoft Advertising, Pinterest, X Ads, GDN/PMax, and YouTube
  • PowerBI for reporting and analytics
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Basic ad copy and creative generation
