The Marketing & Content Specialist supports Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries' mission by developing, coordinating, and executing marketing initiatives across multiple channels. This role produces engaging content for social media, digital platforms, print collateral, and promotional campaigns while also assisting with events, retail branding, and other marketing projects. The position reports to the Marketing & PR Director and works collaboratively with the marketing team to ensure consistent, mission-driven messaging and cohesive brand representation.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are representative of the essential functions of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require.

Content Creation & Copywriting

Coordinate and produce content for social media, the company website, and other digital platforms.

Write and edit copy for press releases, articles, brochures, retail promotions, signage, event materials, and other marketing collateral.

Stay informed on marketing trends, tools, and best practices to contribute to innovative strategies.

Campaign & Analytics Support

Track and analyze KPIs to measure results and drive continuous improvements for content and PR strategies.

Monitor and analyze engagement and performance metrics for campaigns, providing insights to improve results.

Events & Retail Branding

Support the execution of events including vendor coordination, marketing materials, and onsite assistance.

Assist in retail branding initiatives including promotional campaigns and seasonal marketing projects.

Team Collaboration & Brand Alignment

Promote the goals and objectives of HOT Goodwill through creative and strategic marketing support.

Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and branding across all channels.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication Arts, or Public Relations required; minimum of two years of experience in social media management and content creation; or an appropriate combination of education and experience.

Minimum Requirements

Valid Texas Driver's License with a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider.

Proficiency in completing assignments independently, on time, and within budget.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced, consistently changing environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent project coordination skills with the ability to think strategically.

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.

Strong proficiency in social media platforms and digital content creation tools.

Ability to create and maintain working relationships within a collaborative team environment.

Strong customer service skills; ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals internally and externally.

Ability to uphold high standards of ethics and integrity.
