Summary: The Manager, Social Media: Partnerships leads social media strategy and activation for national partnerships, corporate collaborations, sponsorship activations, and partner campaigns. This role serves as the primary social media lead for partnership marketing and activation efforts, responsible for maximizing partner visibility, audience engagement, brand awareness, revenue generation, and campaign impact across Blood Cancer United's social channels while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and brand standards.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Social Media, this position serves as the primary social media partner to the Business Development and Healthcare Partnership Activation teams and the Sr. Marketing Manager, Corporate Partnerships, collaborating to develop and execute social strategies that support partner objectives and organizational goals. The role also works closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Mission, Development, Regional, and Communications teams, as well as agency partners and external organizations, to support mission-focused initiatives, fundraising campaigns, revenue-generating opportunities, and key organizational priorities through integrated social media programs.
Core Responsibilities / Primary Duties
Social Media Strategy & Partnership Activations
Primary Duty 1: Lead Partnership Social Strategy
- Develop and execute social media strategies supporting national partnerships, sponsorship activations, corporate collaborations, and partner-focused campaigns.
- Serve as the primary social media lead for partnership activations, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives, organizational priorities, and brand standards.
- Identify opportunities to leverage strategic partnerships and collaborations to expand reach, increase engagement, and amplify mission-driven storytelling.
- Develop social toolkits, messaging guidance, and amplification strategies that help partners effectively support organizational objectives while maintaining brand integrity.
Primary Duty 2: Manage Partnership Planning & Execution
- Lead social media planning and activation for partnership campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Partner with internal teams and agency partners to develop content plans, activation calendars, campaign support materials, and channel-specific strategies utilizing approved platforms and workflows.
- Coordinate national and regional partnership activations, awareness initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and key organizational moments.
- Ensure deliverables meet established timelines, brand standards, quality expectations, and campaign goals.
Primary Duty 3: Collaborate Across Organizational Priorities
- Serve as the primary social media partner to the Business Development and Healthcare Partnership Activation teams, supporting partnership strategy, campaign development, and activation planning.
- Work closely with the Sr. Manager, Social Media to align partnership activations with organizational goals, mission priorities, fundraising efforts, and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Participate in enterprise content planning and prioritization efforts to ensure partnership activities support broader organizational campaigns and awareness moments.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Mission, Development, Communications, and Executive stakeholders to maximize campaign impact and partner value.
- Identify opportunities to amplify organizational initiatives through partnership channels and integrated social media campaigns.
Primary Duty 4: Reporting, Community Insights & Optimization
- Utilize Sprout Social and platform analytics to measure campaign performance, audience engagement, and partnership activation effectiveness.
- Partner with the Community Manager to leverage social listening and audience insights to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging conversations.
- Develop recurring reports and dashboards highlighting performance, trends, recommendations, and optimization opportunities.
- Use data-driven insights to improve content effectiveness, audience engagement, and campaign performance.
- Monitor platform trends, emerging social behaviors, and discoverability opportunities to optimize content performance and audience reach.
Primary Duty 5: Agency & Stakeholder Management
- Manage agency partners and external vendors supporting partnership campaigns and social activations.
- Build strong relationships with corporate partners and key stakeholders to support campaign success and organizational objectives.
- Ensure all partnership activations maintain consistency with organizational messaging, voice, and brand standards.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders by providing social media expertise, best practices, and strategic guidance.

Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of social media, partnership marketing, digital marketing, communications, or audience engagement experience.
- Experience supporting national partnerships, sponsorship activations, fundraising campaigns, corporate collaborations, or mission-driven initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field.
- Strong experience working with agencies and cross-functional stakeholders. Comfortable stating point of view, leaning on expertise, clearly explaining best practices, and looking for win-win solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expertise across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, and emerging social platforms.
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, partnership marketing, audience engagement, and content development.
- Experience utilizing analytics, social listening, and community insights to inform strategy and optimization.
- Understanding of social search optimization, platform discoverability, keyword strategy, and content optimization techniques to maximize reach, engagement, and content performance across social channels.
- Experience with social media management platforms such as Sprout Social or similar tools.
- Experience utilizing project management and collaboration platforms to manage content calendars, workflows, approvals, and campaign execution.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools and emerging technologies that support content development, audience insights, workflow efficiency, campaign planning, and social media optimization.
- Ability to evaluate and adopt new technologies, platforms, and social media best practices.
- Ability to create executive-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Experience managing agencies and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and a mission-driven approach to storytelling and audience engagement.
- Travel requirements: up to 10%, including support of live events and partnership activations.

We are excited to share the base pay range for this position is $85K to $122K. The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Blood Cancer United we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
