About Hurrdat:

Hurrdat is one of a kind. A media, marketing, and entertainment agency.

We were founded in Lincoln, Nebraska as a small team of two in 2010, offering social media services to brands and athletes. After a decade of growth later we have grown to be a uniquely well-rounded marketing and advertising agency with in-house media, sports, entertainment, and film divisions.

Mergers and acquisitions over the years (with B2 Interactive, Disconnected Media, Digital Hero Films, Victory Fighting Championship, Hail Varsity, and Parkville Media) have grown our team to over 150 people.

We serve over 200 clients who collectively operate in 8 countries, including 43 states in the United States. Our clients range from local businesses just starting to build their brand and online presence to enterprise organizations.

About the role:

Hurrdat is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Strategist to design and optimize communications programs that help people make informed decisions and help business customers get lasting value from digital products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Map customer journeys from initial discovery and research through conversion, onboarding, ongoing engagement, and reactivation, accommodating different goals, decision timelines, and levels of engagement.

Create educational and nurturing experiences that provide value before someone is ready to purchase or take action, and coordinate automated communications with personal outreach and customer support.

Define how content, recommendations, timing, and calls to action adapt to stated preferences, behavior, and journey stage; establish rules for when communications should change, pause, stop, or transition to another sequence.

Partner with content, creative, product, and data teams to develop reusable content that supports meaningful personalization at scale, while applying thoughtful judgment to communication frequency, customer circumstances, and shared information.

Design onboarding programs and ongoing engagement experiences that help business customers reach meaningful milestones, discover features, adopt capabilities, and realize value.

Identify signs of stalled adoption or declining engagement and develop appropriate interventions with customer-facing teams.

Translate strategy into journey maps, audience definitions, content briefs, trigger rules, and campaign requirements, and lead program launches across content, configuration, testing, quality assurance, and measurement.

Help evaluate messaging and automation solutions against program needs, including personalization, integrations, usability, and reporting.

Work with product and engineering teams to define the events, data, and connections needed to support reliable communications, and establish clear ownership and working processes across marketing, product, data, and customer-facing teams.

Define success for each program and stage of the customer journey, and measure whether communications help customers make progress, realize value, and stay engaged.

Develop structured tests of content, timing, cadence, segmentation, and journey design; use performance data and customer feedback to identify friction and improve the experience.

Connect program performance to meaningful outcomes, including conversion, activation, product adoption, retention, and customer value.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrated experience designing and improving lifecycle, CRM, retention, or marketing automation programs.

Experience owning a program from audience insight and strategy through launch, measurement, and iteration.

Strong understanding of segmentation, behavioral triggers, dynamic content, personalization, and experimentation.

Ability to turn complex customer journeys into clear, useful communications, with strong writing and editorial judgment and an empathetic approach to customer needs.

Comfort working with data and translating business needs into clear requirements for technical collaborators.

Experience coordinating across marketing, content, product, engineering, analytics, and customer-facing teams.

Working knowledge of deliverability, consent, preference management, and responsible use of customer data.

Experience with digital platforms, subscription services, or products involving longer decision cycles is helpful; demonstrated ability to build and improve effective programs is valued over experience with any particular email platform.

Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check.
