The Lifecycle Marketing Specialist supports the growth of our Wealth Planning business by helping prospects and clients access comprehensive financial advice through thoughtfully designed lifecycle marketing programs. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to build, execute, and optimize high-quality, scalable email and multi-channel marketing experiences.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented marketer with strong email coding and marketing automation expertise who takes pride in quality execution. If you enjoy building impactful email programs, collaborating on testing and optimization, and continuously improving how marketing efforts perform, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop responsive, ADA-compliant emails using HTML and CSS, with a focus on modular and scalable design
  • Build personalization and dynamic content using basic AMPscript
  • Test emails across devices and clients using tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid
  • Configure and execute multi-touch lifecycle journeys across email, SMS, and push channels based on documented strategy
  • Conduct internal and external quality assurance, including stakeholder review and approval workflows
  • Identify testing opportunities and collaborate with partners to support A/B and optimization testing
  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure quality and consistency
  • Support documentation, versioning, and governance of templates, modules, and logic blocks
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and performance across lifecycle programs

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable enterprise-level marketing automation platform
  • Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS, with a solid understanding of email best practices
  • Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design for email
  • Experience with Adobe CDP or similar data and segmentation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Data Cloud, Segment, Tealium, etc)
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards for quality and accuracy
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Passion for email development, lifecycle marketing, and continuous improvement
  • 3+ years of experience in customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, or marketing technology roles

Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Experience working with a Customer Data Platform (CDP)
  • Experience working with CloudPages
  • Proficiency with AMPscript
  • Understanding of marketing performance metrics and how campaigns support broader business goals

Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is below. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
