OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Social Media Manager – Content Specialist (1-3 years of experience) to support day-to-day content review, publishing, and quality assurance efforts. This role is ideal for someone with strong editorial judgment, social media experience, and the ability to make consistent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, process-driven, and comfortable evaluating content against established guidelines while identifying opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, and reporting.
Hourly Rate: $26/hour
Fully Remote (US Based)
40 hours / week contract role (July - Dec 31, possible extension beyond that)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, evaluate, and approve content based on established quality and brand standards
- Identify and escalate content that requires additional review or clarification
- Support the development, revision, and maintenance of content guidelines, workflows, and playbooks
- Assist with sourcing and identifying potential creators, contributors, or content partners
- Maintain accurate records of content decisions, updates, and workflow activity
- Monitor content trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for process improvement
- Support reporting on content volume, approvals, rejections, performance patterns, and key insights
- Identify opportunities to streamline content workflows using tools, templates, or AI-assisted processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content aligns with overall goals, standards, and best practices
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience managing organic social media for a brand or organization
- Experience with content publishing, copywriting, community engagement, or content review
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, content formats, audience behavior, and platform best practices
- Excellent judgment and ability to make consistent decisions in ambiguous situations
- Strong attention to detail and experience managing a high-volume daily workload
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to work independently
- Experience creating or maintaining process documentation, guidelines, or playbooks
- Strong written communication skills
- Familiarity with AI tools, content workflow tools, or automation is a plus
