Job Title: Google Ads Paid Media Specialist

FLSA Status: Exempt

Hours: Full-Time

About Hurrdat:

Hurrdat is one of a kind. A media, marketing, and entertainment agency.

We were founded in Lincoln, Nebraska as a small team of two in 2010, offering social media services to brands and athletes. After a decade of growth, we have grown to be a uniquely well-rounded marketing and advertising agency with in-house media, sports, entertainment, and film divisions.

Mergers and acquisitions over the years (with B2 Interactive, Disconnected Media, Digital Hero Films, Victory Fighting Championship, Hail Varsity, and Parkville Media) have grown our team to over 150 people.

We serve over 200 clients who collectively operate in 8 countries, including 43 states in the United States. Our clients range from local businesses just starting to build their brand and online presence to enterprise organizations.

About the Role

We're seeking a lead-acquisition expert to provide strategic ownership of full-funnel Google advertising — Search, Performance Max, and Demand Gen — across a high-consideration consumer marketplace. This role combines advanced paid-search strategy, geo-concentrated campaign architecture, measurement discipline, and conversion-led optimization to make Google a measurable, qualified-lead growth engine. We're looking for someone who operates with a learning mindset, obsesses over efficiency, and is passionate about turning intent into qualified leads. Words like analytical, strategic, proactive, and conversion-focused describe our ideal candidate. This position reports directly to the Director of Paid Acquisition.

Duties and Responsibilities

Include but not limited to:

  • Plan, build, and manage paid search campaigns across Google Ads — including Search, Performance Max, and Demand Gen — with full ownership of strategy, execution, and performance outcomes across a book of business.

  • Develop and execute keyword strategy, including match type management, negative keyword development, and ongoing search term analysis to improve targeting efficiency and lead quality.

  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance on a regular basis — adjusting bids, budgets, ad copy, and targeting to consistently improve against cost-per-lead and conversion goals.

  • Collaborate with internal teams — including creative, analytics, and account management — to align on campaign objectives, landing page strategy, and conversion tracking.

  • Manage campaign budgets accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper pacing, allocation across campaigns, and spend accountability at scale.

  • Prepare and present performance reports and strategic recommendations to clients, translating data into clear insights and actionable next steps.

  • Stay current on Google Ads platform updates, industry trends, and best practices to proactively identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge for clients.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven track record of directly managing $150,000–$300,000+ in monthly paid-search budget (Search, Performance Max, and Demand Gen under direct ownership), with demonstrated pacing, allocation, and efficiency discipline at that scale.

  • Deep command of geo-targeting structures, match-type strategy, negative-keyword management, and search-term-driven optimization.

  • Strong understanding of Google Ads audience tools, targeting options, and platform policies as they apply to performance campaigns.

  • Proven ability to optimize toward cost-per-qualified-lead (CPQL) and downstream conversion volume, not raw form-fills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in regulated or sensitive verticals (healthcare, housing, finance, legal).

  • Lead-generation or local-services category experience.

Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.

  • Will lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds using safe and proper lifting methods.

Benefits

  • Health Insurance

  • Dental Insurance

  • Vision Insurance

  • Life Insurance

  • Parental Leave

  • Employee Discounts

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan

  • Responsible Time Off Policy
