Newsweek is seeking a U.S.-based Social Media Freelancer to provide weekend coverage for a three-month assignment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced digital environment and enjoys engaging audiences across platforms. The freelancer is expected to complete key deliverables on Saturday and Sundays from 8:00 am ET to 7:00 pm ET to ensure Newsweek’s social presence remains active, timely, and aligned with editorial priorities over the weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement, referrals and monetization to be driven through creating and scheduling four posts per hour while working closely with the editorial to ensure timely and accurate content.
Increase weekend social referrals and monetization through carefully crafted content that engages with Newsweek’s active readership.
Requirements:
Hourly pay rate: $20-30/hour, commensurate with experience
