Position Description

The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating high-quality visual and written content that strengthens the company’s brand, supports business development efforts, and enhances project pursuit materials through photography, videography, graphic design, social media, proposals, and event support. This role works closely with Business Development, project teams, field leadership, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure marketing materials are professional, brand-aligned, timely, and effective in supporting company visibility and growth.

 

The Content Marketing Specialist reports to: Business Development Manager.



Key Responsibilities

  • Capture, edit, and produce high-quality photo and video content for marketing, project documentation, social media, proposals, events, and internal communications.
  • Design branded marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, infographics, proposal graphics, jobsite signage, banners, safety boards, and event materials.
  • Manage and maintain organized digital assets, including project photos, videos, graphics, templates, and other marketing content.
  • Develop, schedule, and monitor social media content across company platforms, ensuring posts are engaging, accurate, brand-aligned, and consistent.
  • Track social media and digital content performance and use analytics to support improved reach, engagement, and audience growth.
  • Support proposal development by preparing graphics, formatting documents, editing content, assembling submission materials, and assisting with the full proposal lifecycle from RFP review to final submission.
  • Lead proposal development for select pursuits, coordinating content, layouts, deadlines, and final deliverables with internal teams.
  • Coordinate production of jobsite signage and marketing materials by working with vendors to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Support company events, including groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, recruiting events, project milestones, and other requested events through planning, branding, photography, videography, and on-site support.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, Safety, HR, and project teams to ensure marketing content reflects company standards, project quality, safety culture, and brand messaging.

  • Strong creative eye with the ability to produce polished, professional visual content across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to review materials for accuracy, consistency, formatting, grammar, and brand alignment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to gather information from project teams and translate it into clear marketing content.
  • Collaborative and service-focused approach when working with internal teams, field staff, leadership, vendors, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assignments with minimal oversight.
  • Strong judgment when selecting photos, videos, messaging, and visuals that represent the company professionally.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to support changing priorities, proposal deadlines, event needs, and field-based content requests.



Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in content marketing, digital marketing, graphic design, photography, videography, proposal support, communications, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Demonstrated experience capturing and editing photography and videography for professional use.
  • Experience creating marketing collateral, social media content, presentations, or other branded communications.
  • Experience using social media platforms and basic analytics tools to schedule, monitor, and evaluate content performance.
  • Ability to travel inter-island as needed to support jobsites, events, project teams, and company marketing initiatives.



Preferred Experience includes, but is not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field.
  • Background in architecture, engineering, construction, or related industries.
  • Proposal development, RFP responses, or business development materials.
  • Planning or supporting corporate events, project milestone events, recruiting events, or community engagement activities.
  • Management of digital asset libraries, brand templates, or shared marketing resources.



Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and sun exposure
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods
  • Ability to navigate active construction sites with changing ground conditions and elevations
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment as required
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)



Compensation & Benefits 

The base salary for this position is one component of J. Benton Construction’s total compensation package. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s skills, experience, education, relevant qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.
