Help tell Whitecliffe's story, one video at a time!
About Whitecliffe
Whitecliffe is Aotearoa's leading creative and tech institution. Since 1984 we've been doing one thing exceptionally well — turning creativity into a career. Now we're looking for a passionate, camera-confident storyteller to create the video content that brings our tertiary community to life across TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
If you live and breathe video, from concept to a polished, scroll-stopping final cut, and you're keen to work alongside students and staff in a creative, fast-paced environment, this is the role for you.
About the Role
You'll be behind the camera and in front of it, working closely with our marketing team to plan, shoot, and edit content that reflects student life at Whitecliffe. This is a hands-on role with real creative ownership and a quick turnaround between filming and publishing.
-
Plan, film, and edit short-form to mid-length video content as needed for our website, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Conduct interviews with students, staff, and guests, both on and off campus
- Take a project from raw footage to a polished, platform-ready video
- Work confidently alongside students, putting them at ease in front of the camera
-
Edit using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere/Creative Suite, with light use of Lightroom, Indesign and/or Canva for supporting graphics
- Collaborate with the marketing team to keep content aligned with campaigns and brand
About You
You're a recent graduate (or equivalent experience) with a genuine passion for video editing and content creation, and a strong sense of what makes content perform on social platforms.
- A keen eye for storytelling and a strong understanding of short-form video trends
- Confident on camera and comfortable interviewing a range of people, including students
-
Photography a plus but not required
-
Must be personable, approachable and able to engage confidently with students and staff across different backgrounds
- Skilled in video editing with quick, efficient turnaround times
- Comfortable across platforms like CapCut and the Adobe Suite (Lightroom and InDesign experience a bonus)
- Own camera/filming equipment preferred but not essential
- Able to provide a portfolio or sample reel of previous work
- Flexible and available 2–3 days per week through to the end of 2026
