Vice President, Paid Media & Measurement Strategy – Small Business Card

Job Summary
The Vice President, Paid Media & Measurement Strategy will serve as the central lead for paid media strategy, budget management, performance measurement, and optimization across the Small Business Card portfolio. In this role, you will oversee the media budget and related financial processes, connect business priorities to media strategies and investment decisions, and partner closely with internal media teams and agencies to drive effective planning and execution. You will also lead the cross-channel paid media learning agenda, working across our team and with partners to define learning priorities and own their implementation, measurement, and reporting. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of media expertise, financial acumen, analytical thinking, relationship management, and collaborative leadership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where strong partnerships and sound judgment are critical to success.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day paid media lead for the Small Business Card portfolio, ensuring media strategy is clearly connected to brand, business, and campaign objectives.
- Act as the primary point of coordination across media stakeholders, including Chase’s Media COE, Analytics, Finance, Compliance, and external agency partners.
- Own media budget management, including budget allocation, invoice validation, reconciliation, and coordination with Finance, Media COE, and agency partners.
- Translate business goals into clear communications and media objectives that guide strategic briefs and planning decisions.
- Lead the planning, development, execution, and assessment of integrated communications plans in partnership with Chase's media teams, ensuring alignment to brand and business priorities.
- Lead the paid media learning agenda across channels, aligning our team and partners around priority questions and owning the implementation, measurement, reporting, and application of learnings to future media plans and investments.
- Establish clear reporting expectations across campaigns and channels, ensuring performance insights are delivered consistently and translated into actionable recommendations that help improve media strategy, creative effectiveness, audience targeting, and investment decisions.
- Support the development of dashboards, reporting tools, and measurement frameworks that make performance trends easier to access, understand, and apply across the organization.
- Serve as key stakeholder in industry research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to inform media strategy and planning priorities.
- Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and strong working relationships to deliver against ambitious goals and timelines.
- Prepare and present business updates, performance reviews, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Seven or more years of experience in media strategy, integrated marketing, media planning, or campaign management
- Experience managing paid media programs across multiple channels, partners, and stakeholder groups
- Strong knowledge of media planning, campaign measurement, performance reporting, and optimization practices
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and financial processes with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear business implications and recommended actions
- Proven ability to lead complex projects in a matrixed organization and drive alignment across teams
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence and build trust across levels and functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality work in a fast paced environment
- Bachelor degree or equivalent practical experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working at or closely with a media agency
- Experience building measurement frameworks and test and learn roadmaps across channels
- Experience partnering with compliance and risk stakeholders within a regulated marketing environment
- Experience using reporting and dashboard tools to scale performance visibility and decision making
- Experience in financial services and/or small business marketing
