WalmartPosition Summary...
What you'll do...
Role summary:
We’re looking for a strategically minded conceptual thinker who’s tapped into pop culture—what and who’s hot (and what’s cringe). Someone with experience developing seasonal brand campaigns from concept through execution—ideating, writing, editing, and contributing across touchpoints, from concept decks (lots of decks) to online video scripts, paid media, CRM, site assets, and in-store messaging.
As Senior Copywriter (Walmart Brands, Style), you’ll dive deep—mastering our brands and briefs while partnering with creative and marketing teams to shape work that changes perceptions and builds fashion credibility.
Oh, and you’ll need exceptional organizational skills and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
About the team:
We’re the Walmart Brands Team, part of the Style Team at Walmart Creative (WC)—Walmart’s in-house creative agency. We create private label fashion campaigns for Walmart-exclusive brands including Scoop (our most fashion-forward line), Free Assembly (modern classics), Scenario (modern, bohemian style), No Boundaries (for Gen Z), Weekend Academy (for tweens), and more.
What you'll do:
- Write compelling, customer-centered copy across brands, channels, and asset types.
- Apply each brand’s positioning, personality, and tone of voice.
- Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines independently.
- Partner with designers, project managers, account managers, marketers, and other cross-functional teams to develop effective creative solutions.
- Turn marketing strategies into concise, on-brief stories and copy that meets the 3 Cs: Conversational, Captivating, and Confident.
- Participate actively in meetings—asking smart questions, explaining creative choices, and aligning with partners.
- Uphold evolving brand voice and copy standards.
- Share relevant industry, retail, and technology knowledge with the team.
- Support team operations by covering projects, representing copy leadership when needed, and helping document processes and tools.
What you'll bring:
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
- Experience creating customer-centered copy across digital, social, email, site, and/or in-store channels.
- The ability to translate strategy and business goals into clear, compelling creative work.
- Sound judgment, strong research skills, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
- Excellent organization and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to feedback and cross-functional partnership.
- Confidence presenting and defending creative rationale.
- A love of fashion, retail, culture, and emerging technology.
