Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Office of International Admissions' Instagram account, including a consistent posting and content calendar.
  • Create, plan, film, edit, and publish engaging photos, videos, Reels, Stories, and other social media content.
  • Develop content that highlights academics, campus life, student organizations, residence life, athletics, support services, and the international student experience.
  • Capture content at office events such as information sessions, admitted student days, and orientation, working alongside the International Admissions team.
  • Coordinate with current international students to feature their stories, testimonials, and “day in the life” content.
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions that speak directly to prospective international students and families.
  • Feature updates from the Office of International Admissions, such as upcoming virtual sessions, opportunities to meet an admissions counselor, and key dates and deadlines that are important for prospective students on their journey toward enrollment.
  • Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages in a warm, professional, and welcoming tone, escalating admissions-specific questions to professional staff as needed.
  • Track post and story engagement, and share insights with the team to help shape future content.
  • Stay current on social media trends and formats relevant to prospective international students.
  • Ensure all content aligns with Quinnipiac University branding, messaging, and the Office of International Admissions' Code of Conduct.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current Quinnipiac University student in good academic standing.
  • Comfortable filming, appearing on camera, and directing peers for content shoots.
  • Experience creating content for Instagram (Reels, Stories, and posts); familiarity with editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, or iMovie preferred.
  • Strong written communication skills and an eye for storytelling.
  • Creative, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage a content calendar independently.
  • Prior experience as, or close familiarity with, the international student experience is a plus

Hours of Position:

  • 5 Hours/week (more may be available as it expands)

Monday- Friday 9 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

  • Some duties may require assisting in virtual or in person events outside of working hours or on the weekend.
