The Opportunity
We are seeking a Social Media & Website Manager to be a hands on, proactive operator to run our website and social channels and keep our content shipping. You will report to the Brand Experience Manager who owns PR strategy and the agency relationship; you make it live across our owned channels. Starts part-time through the summer (buildout) and converts to full-time for the fall (execution).
Key Responsibilities
- Publish and update content across the WordPress site, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube; keep everything current, accurate, and on-brand.
- Own social proactively: plan, create, and ship a steady cadence of strong content; actively monitor, engage in-voice, and react fast to relevant news and moments.
- Set and manage tasks for graphic designers and video: write briefs, set deadlines, review for brand consistency.
- Coordinate with the external PR firm on timing and amplification (PR is managed by the Brand Experience Manager); turn earned coverage, preprints, and milestones into social and web content.
- Maintain the content calendar, a basic SEO/AEO baseline for our core terms, and report channel + site analytics with recommendations.
What You'll Bring
Must-have experience
- 3+ years running social and digital content for a brand, startup, or agency.
- Excellent, proactive social instincts and sharp copy; can make technical or scientific material clear and credible.
- Hands-on WordPress (publishing, pages, basic SEO) and fluent across LinkedIn, X, YouTube with their analytics/scheduling tools.
- Comfortable briefing and directing designers/video (Figma, Canva, or Adobe).
- Self-directed and reliable; owns a calendar and hits deadlines with limited oversight.
Strong plus
- Deep tech / neurotech / science comms background; SEO/AEO experience; video editing; experience supporting a launch or raise.
$25 - $40 an hour
