Summary

Creates and executes Lafourche Arc’s social media and digital marketing efforts, with an emphasis on growing the organization’s brand, service platforms, enterprises, programs, and community engagement. Manages Lafourche Arc’s social media presence and supports website and online marketing efforts. Manages the BBQ and Bourbon on the Bayou Festival social media accounts and markets and promotes the Festival and Lafourche Arc.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Craft social media and marketing strategies aligned with Lafourche Arc’s mission and goals.

Manage Lafourche Arc’s social media accounts and maintain a consistent, professional, and engaging online presence.

Create, schedule, and publish content including graphics, photos, videos, reels, stories, event promotions, and agency updates.

Manage social media campaigns and daily postings to promote community engagement.

Continue to grow Lafourche Arc’s brand, enterprises, and service platforms through digital marketing.

Manage the BBQ and Bourbon on the Bayou Festival social media accounts and create content to market and promote the Festival and Lafourche Arc.

Develop and maintain a social media and content calendar.

Create digital and print marketing materials to support Lafourche Arc’s programs, enterprises, events, and outreach.

Capture photos and videos at agency programs, activities, events, and community engagements for marketing use.

Assist with website development, content updates, and maintenance.

Monitor social media performance and engagement and recommend ways to improve reach and visibility.

Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and visual standards across marketing platforms.

Foster relationships with new and long-term community partners and identify cross-promotion opportunities.

Work with leadership and program staff to identify stories, updates, events, and information appropriate for public promotion.

Monitor comments, messages, and inquiries and respond or route them appropriately.

Keep the supervisor informed of significant concerns or public relations issues.

Comply with all Lafourche Arc policies and procedures, including confidentiality requirements.

Participate in activities sponsored or co-sponsored by Lafourche Arc as needed for social media coverage and promotion.

Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by the HR Director or Executive Director/CEO.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have regular supervisory responsibilities unless otherwise assigned by leadership.

QualificationsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; and two or more years of experience in marketing, social media, communications, or a related field preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of social media platforms, digital marketing, content creation, and community engagement.

Ability to create professional graphics, photos, videos, and other digital content.

Resourceful, creative, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Sound judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, employees, community partners, and the public.

Ability to analyze social media performance and adjust content strategies as needed.

Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and related digital marketing tools.

Ability to work occasional prolonged or irregular hours when agency activities or events require social media coverage.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Current Louisiana Driver’s License.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may be required to drive.

Work Environment

Normal office conditions, with work also performed at Lafourche Arc programs, activities, community events, and other locations as needed to capture and promote content. The position may require working closely with others, working independently, and working prolonged or irregular hours.
