About Chatbooks
At Chatbooks, we think photos deserve to be seen, not trapped on your phone— which is why we created our user-friendly photo book app! Users make the memories and we make the photo books. By focusing on four core values—beyond easy, super affordable, great quality, and amazing service—we continue to keep Chatbookers everywhere excited about printing their everyday magic. Our Content & Communities team brings that mission to life across social media and community spaces, telling authentic, warm, and relatable stories about family life, memory making, and connection through photos. We're a small, tight-knit team that cares about doing great creative work, moving fast, and having fun along the way.
The Role
We're looking for a Social Content Lead to own the day-to-day of our social presence — the ideas, the visuals, the vibe, and the direction. You'll take the reins on our content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, working closely with our team of designers and content creators to keep our channels fresh, on-brand, and genuinely engaging. This is an entry-level role with real room to grow. If you're a creative, organized self-starter who's excited to build something and grow your career alongside a close-knit team, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage the day-to-day social content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.
- Ideate, plan, and execute daily and weekly content — from concept through caption to publish.
- Shape the content and output of our social channels within our core content pillars: Family Life, Memory Keeping, and Community Building.
- Write engaging, on-brand copy and captions for every post.
- Shoot, edit, and/or source photo and video content.
- Keep a pulse on social and cultural trends, and adapt content in real time to stay relevant.
- Manage community engagement on owned channels — replying to comments and DMs and fostering real conversation.
- Track content performance and use platform insights to continually refine what we post and how.
- Partner with the Senior Manager and Community Lead on seasonal campaigns, brand moments, and larger creative pushes.
- Collaborate with other content and creative team members to keep the calendar full, varied, and on-brand.
- Stay organized across multiple platforms, deadlines, and stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- 0–2 years of experience in social media, content creation, communications, PR, advertising, or journalism (internships and personal creator projects count!).
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, or similar).
- Strong copywriting skills — able to write in a brand voice and adapt tone across platforms and formats.
- Excellent organizational skills; comfortable managing a busy content calendar with many moving pieces.
- A genuine, up-to-date pulse on social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest) and what makes content resonate.
- A strong eye for aesthetics, visual storytelling, and brand consistency.
- Comfort both creating content and engaging directly with our community.
- Basic photography and/or videography skills — comfortable shooting content on a phone or camera.
- A proactive, creative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and excitement to grow with a small, fast-moving team.
- Availability for occasional offsites and in-person events.
Nice to Have
- Background in communications, PR, advertising, or content creation.
- Experience with social scheduling/publishing tools.
- Basic analytics literacy — comfortable reading platform insights to inform content decisions.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Notion, Slack).
- Basic graphic design or motion graphics skills.
- An existing personal brand or content-creation portfolio (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
Why Join Us
- Real room to grow — this role has a clear path to take on more ownership and seniority as you prove yourself.
- A seat on a small, collaborative Content & Communities team that trusts you to bring your voice and ideas.
- The chance to help define the look, feel, and personality of a brand people genuinely love.
