Machobear Studios is an established tech start-up based in Vancouver. We are the creators of liv.rent, an all-in-one platform that connects tenants with landlords. In addition to developing and maintaining our platform, we work on a variety of exciting projects for our clients within the real estate and food industries, providing innovative tech solutions that meet their unique needs.

We are looking for a creative and passionate Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will help grow our online presence by developing and executing social media strategies for both liv.rent and our diverse client base. You will create compelling content, engage with our audience, and drive engagement across multiple platforms, contributing to the success of our brand and our clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies and processes for liv.rent and our clients in real estate, tech, hospitality and food industries
• Create and curate engaging, original content (text, images, videos) that aligns with brand voice and audience interests
• Shoot video content as required, as well as being in front of the camera
• Monitor social media performance metrics (engagement, traffic, follower growth) and provide insightful reporting
• Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all channels
• Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and fostering positive community interactions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform algorithms, and industry best practices to ensure maximum reach and engagement
• Collaborate with the paid team on insights, content boosting, and paid strategy recommendations
• Utilize social media management and analytics tools to measure the success of posts and campaigns

What You Bring Us

• 2-3 years' experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, with a track record of growing brand presence
• Strong understanding of social media growth tactics and its role in an omni-channel marketing strategy and funnel
• Proficiency in managing social media platforms and scheduling tools
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with attention to detail
• Experience with social media advertising and audience targeting
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects for different clients
• Creative mindset with an eye for visuals, familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe, CapCut, etc.
• Familiar with AI tools and how to use them to streamline social media output — from content creation to scheduling and repurposing
• Strong understanding of social media analytics and how they connect to business goals; comfortable analyzing metrics through Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, GA4, and similar platforms
