About the role:

We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to provide the hands-on support our marketing team needs to run day-to-day. This is a builder's role: you'll own real programs from day one—not shadow them—and you'll be measured on acquisition-funnel performance: site traffic, sales, and ROAS.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be hungry — someone who treats ambiguity as an invitation, someone who figures things out without waiting to be told, one who earns expanded ownership by delivering. Entrepreneurial spirit isn't a nice-to-have here; it's the whole point. If you need a playbook handed to you, this isn't your role. If you want to write the playbook, keep reading.

Your center of gravity is twofold: supporting our e-commerce and marketing team on our social media publishing and content operation, and on operating our full affiliate program stack—from identifying and seeding creators to enrolling them, monitoring their content, and accelerating the revenue they drive. Around that core, you'll flex into paid social support, site and email reporting, subscriber growth and monetization, and ecommerce program execution. This is a top-of-funnel acquisition role at heart: every workstream is aimed at driving new traffic and sales, and you'll see—in real numbers—how your work moves the business.

Ideally, this role will sit fully on-site in Los Angeles, CA HQ, but we are open to considering fully remote for the right candidate if they are not based in Southern California.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Social Media Content & Channel Operations

  • Run the social publishing engine: manage the content calendar, schedule and publish across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest, and keep every channel active, on-brand, and on-cadence. This is a content production and scheduling function, not community moderation or comment/DM response.
  • Source, brief, and traffic creator and UGC content in partnership with the brand and creative teams; maintain our content and rights-management library.
  • Spot emerging formats, sounds, and creators worth activating—and bring those ideas to the team proactively, with a point of view on why they'll perform.
  • Align publishing plans with campaign calendars, product launches, and promotional windows so social output ladders to commercial goals.
  • Assist with implantation of social media buying: support campaign setup, boosting, Spark Ads / creator whitelisting, audience builds, and creative testing alongside our media partners.
  • Track and report weekly on channel and content KPIs (growth, reach, engagement, click-through, and social-attributed revenue), turning data into recommendations, not just recaps.

Affiliate Program Management (Full Stack)

  • Operate our complete affiliate technology stack day-to-day, including Impact.com, ShopMy, Skimlinks, and platform-native creator programs (e.g., TikTok Shop affiliates), owning setup, hygiene, and performance across all of them.
  • Run the full affiliate lifecycle end-to-end: identify and qualify prospects, execute outreach, manage product seeding and gifting logistics, and drive enrollment for both performance affiliates and brand affiliates.
  • Monitor affiliate and creator content for brand alignment, claims accuracy, and FTC disclosure compliance; coach partners toward content that converts.
  • Accelerate affiliate sales through commission optimization, exclusive codes and offers, seasonal challenges, re-activation of lapsed partners, and always-on partner communication.
  • Own affiliate reporting: track EPC, conversion rate, revenue, and cost-of-sale by partner and platform, and recommend where to double down.
  • Partner with the Director of Digital Commerce to ensure affiliate traffic converts efficiently and integrates cleanly into our broader DTC funnel.

Ecommerce, Email & Marketing Execution

  • Support marketing and ecommerce programs as needed, including launch execution, promotions, site merchandising updates, and landing page coordination.
  • Assist with site reporting: help maintain dashboards in Shopify and GA4, contribute to weekly trading reports, and flag anomalies and opportunities.
  • Support our email/SMS program: assist with campaign builds, segmentation, and A/B tests, and contribute to subscriber list growth and monetization initiatives.
  • Provide back-end administrative upkeep of our customer care platform (Gorgias)—maintaining macros and templates and monitoring queue volume during peak commercial periods. This is operational maintenance, not customer-facing resolution, which is owned by our dedicated support function.
  • Jump in wherever the launch needs you—small team, big ambitions, no "not my job."

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience across social media marketing, affiliate/influencer marketing, or ecommerce—ideally with a beauty, skincare, or luxury CPG brand, or a fast-moving startup.
  • A genuine entrepreneurial streak: a documented history of taking initiative, building something from scratch, or solving problems nobody assigned you. Come ready to tell us about it.
  • Native fluency in Instagram and TikTok—as an operator, not just a user—with a sharp instinct for what performs and why.
  • Hands-on exposure to affiliate or creator platforms (Impact, ShopMy, Skimlinks, LTK, and/or TikTok Shop) strongly preferred; deep curiosity and fast learning required regardless.
  • Working familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo (or similar ESP), and GA4 a plus; comfort with spreadsheets and reporting a must.
  • Excellent written communication with the ability to flex between polished brand copy and crisp internal reporting.
  • Exceptional organization and follow-through: you can run outreach, seeding, publishing, and reporting in parallel without dropping threads.
  • Self-directed and resourceful—you Google it, test it, and ask smart questions, in that order.
  • A passion for skincare and beauty culture, and excitement about growing with a brand from launch.
