Social Media Lead
Reporting to: Chief Marketing Officer

About the Role
We are looking for a Social Media Lead to own and grow CXM’s global social media presence across organic and paid channels. This is a hands-on, player-coach role combining strategy, execution, performance optimisation, community management, and team leadership.
You will play a key role in consolidating CXM’s regional social presence, improving performance across markets, and building a consistent, engaging global brand presence.
Key Objectives
- Consolidate all regional Facebook pages into a single global page within the first 90 days, with no loss of existing followers.
- Deliver agreed ROAS targets across paid social campaigns by the end of Q4.
- Drive quarter-on-quarter improvement in reach, engagement, follower growth, and CTR.
- Establish a consistent monthly social media performance reporting and optimisation rhythm.
- Launch a follower-exclusive content and promotions programme within the first six months.
- Build scalable processes and, over time, support and lead local social media managers.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Planning
- Develop and execute CXM’s global social media strategy in line with wider marketing objectives.
- Build and manage content calendars across campaigns, promotions, company updates, and market opportunities.
- Identify emerging platform, audience, and content trends.
Content & Community
- Coordinate, schedule, and publish content across relevant social platforms.
- Maintain consistency in brand identity, tone of voice, messaging, and positioning.
- Manage comments, direct messages, and community interactions professionally and promptly.
- Monitor sentiment and escalate customer issues or recurring concerns to the appropriate teams.
Paid Social
- Plan, launch, manage, and optimise paid social campaigns, particularly across Meta.
- Manage budgets across markets and campaign objectives.
- Test and optimise audiences, creatives, placements, and messaging.
- Improve campaign performance across reach, traffic, engagement, conversions, and cost efficiency.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyse organic and paid social performance.
- Produce regular performance reports with clear insights and recommendations.
- Turn data into actionable optimisation decisions.
- Monitor competitor activity and platform developments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with design, content, regional marketing, CXM Support, compliance, and other internal teams.
- Support product launches, promotions, events, partnerships, and wider marketing campaigns through social media.
Team Leadership
- Provide direction and support to local social media managers as the team develops.
- Establish standards, processes, and best practices across markets.
- Remain hands-on while coaching and developing the wider social team.
- Proven experience managing social media for a global or multi-market brand.
- Strong hands-on experience with paid social, particularly Meta Ads.
- Strong understanding of organic social, content strategy, and community management.
- Demonstrable ability to analyse social performance and optimise based on data.
- Experience managing budgets, campaigns, audiences, and creative testing.
- Strong brand, content, and copy judgement.
- Excellent stakeholder and cross-functional communication skills.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as fintech, crypto, or financial services is advantageous.
- Experience managing or mentoring social media teams is a plus.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
