Social Media

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, creative, and competent person to join our small e-commerce team.

This role has four main areas of responsibility:

  • Packing & shipping customer orders
  • Hosting livestreams to sell products
  • Creating social media content that helps sell our products
  • Helping with everything else it takes to run a small e-commerce business

We are a very small team, so this is not a narrowly defined position. The balance of the job will change based on what the business needs. Some weeks may be heavy on shipping, others on social media or livestreaming, and you'll regularly help with projects and tasks outside those areas.

Livestream Selling & Social Media

A major part of this position is being comfortable and engaging on camera. You'll help:

  • Host livestream sales on TikTok, Whatnot, Poshmark, eBay Live, and other platforms
  • Present products naturally, interact with viewers, and help drive sales
  • Create short-form videos, product demonstrations, and other social content
  • Brainstorm and experiment with content ideas
  • Set up attractive backgrounds, displays, lighting, and filming areas
  • Help edit and post simple social media content

We'll provide the equipment and materials, you'll help bring the creativity, personality, and execution.

Professional social media experience is not required, but you must genuinely enjoy being on camera and be able to communicate naturally and confidently.

Shipping & Order Fulfillment

You'll help make sure customer orders go out quickly and accurately, including:

  • Pulling, packing, and shipping daily orders
  • Verifying orders for accuracy
  • Keeping inventory and shipping areas organized
  • Handling increased order volume during busy periods and sales

Everything Else

With only a few people running the day-to-day business, everyone wears a lot of hats. You should expect to regularly work on things outside the three areas above.

That could include:

  • Creating listings on eBay and other marketplaces
  • Taking product photos and researching products
  • Receiving and organizing inventory
  • Responding to customer messages
  • Cleaning and organizing the warehouse
  • Moving boxes, products, and equipment
  • Preparing for sales or special projects
  • Helping solve problems as they come up
  • Taking on new responsibilities as the business changes

You may end up doing a dozen different kinds of tasks in a given month. We're looking for someone who likes that variety and is willing to jump in wherever needed rather than someone who wants a tightly defined job description.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Confident, personable, and engaging on camera
  • Creative with a good eye for what looks appealing
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • A fast learner with a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Able to take an idea and turn it into something
  • Comfortable with physical warehouse work
  • Flexible and willing to do whatever needs to get done

Short Video Audition

Candidates who move forward will be asked to complete a simple 1+ minute video audition:

Choose an everyday product you own and pretend you're selling it during a social media livestream. We're interested in your personality, communication, creativity, and ability to make a product interesting—not professional video quality.

If you've created social media content you're proud of, we'd also love to see examples, but previous professional experience is not required.

Schedule & Pay

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • 9:30 AM–6:00 PM (some flexibility here)
  • $18–$22/hour, depending on experience and ability
