Key School is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and experienced Social Media & Digital Content Manager to bring the Key experience to life across our digital platforms. This is a hands-on role for a strong visual storyteller who can capture authentic moments, create compelling photo and video content, and turn what is happening across campus into engaging stories that connect with current and prospective families, alums, and the broader community.
The ideal candidate is an excellent photographer and videographer who understands what makes content work on today’s social platforms. They are equally comfortable behind the camera, editing a Reel, interviewing a student or faculty member, and identifying the everyday moments that tell a larger story about Key.
Responsibilities
Manage Key School’s social media channels, including strategy, content planning, scheduling, posting, and engagement.
Capture and create compelling photography, video, Reels, and other social-first content that showcases Key’s students, faculty, academics, athletics, arts, traditions, and campus life.
Identify and develop authentic stories that support School priorities, working closely with Communications, Admission, Advancement, and Athletics.
Write engaging social copy and ensure content consistently reflects Key’s voice, visual identity, and brand.
Stay current on social media trends and use analytics to strengthen engagement, reach, and overall performance.
Support digital advertising, website content, and other communications projects as needed.
Maintain an organized library of photo and video assets and provide occasional evening and weekend event coverage.
QualificationsQualifications
2–3 years of professional experience in social media, digital content creation, marketing, communications, or a related field.
Demonstrated strength in photography and videography, with a portfolio of work required.
Strong video editing skills and experience creating short-form, social-first content.
Experience managing organizational or brand social media accounts.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Knowledge of major social platforms, current trends, and social media best practices.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar creative tools.
Highly organized, proactive, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Experience in a school, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $45,000-$52,000 and is based upon several factors that include, but not limited to the candidate’s years of work experience, education and skills.
