What We're Looking For
LARQ is looking for a Social Media Marketing Specialist to join our team and lead content creation for social media channels like TikTok and Instagram globally for the brand. You'll have big ideas and the execution experience to back them up — including the ability to film & edit content and be the face and authority of all things LARQ. You'll be unafraid to take on the conflicting roles of "dreamer," "thinker," and "doer" in order to create interest and buzz around the brand. We're looking for a nontraditional, action-oriented individual with prior startup experience who is proactive, rolls up their sleeves, and gets things done with a great attitude. We want someone who's driven to make great work and who'll take the risks and put in the extra effort to get there — and who's excited to grow LARQ's social media presence, and touch a little bit of everything within our marketing team.
Reporting to the Sr. Content Marketing Manager, the Social Media Marketing Specialist will manage calendars for social media channels, create and brief engaging content, and collaborate on messaging for brand assets — contributing ideas and suggestions that help grow our social media presence and keep the brand relevant. This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of experience under their belt who's ready to bring fresh thinking to a social strategy at a global, high-growth company.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, Design, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in editorial content development, copywriting, content marketing, and/or social media, ideally with consumer-facing product(s)
- Proven experience briefing creatives and giving feedback that sharpens and improves content
- A natural storyteller with a great eye for design, composition, humor, and timing — videography or graphic design skills a plus
- Deep understanding of social behavior across the 18–45 demographic — fluent in internet culture, humor, and emerging platforms, and proficient in content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, paired with strong analytical and problem-solving instincts
- A proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude, comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting things done
- Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment — adaptable, flexible, and agile when things move fast and pivot often
- Excited to wear multiple hats across marketing, not just social, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- A charismatic extrovert at your core — thrives in front of a camera, brings energy to any conversation, and isn't afraid to approach strangers
- A portfolio or links to past work
