Position Summary:

The Social Media Content Creator is responsible for capturing and creating engaging, authentic, and visually compelling content that reflects the life, culture, people, and mission of the ministry. This role works closely with the Social Media Supervisor and ministry teams to develop content that connects with both the church community and those discovering the ministry online.

The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, highly observant, comfortable working in a fast-paced ministry environment, and able to recognize compelling moments worth capturing. This person should have a strong understanding of social media trends, short-form video, photography, storytelling, and what makes content engaging across platforms.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:

Content Creation

  • Capture high-quality photo and video content during services, events, ministry activities, and everyday moments.
  • Create engaging short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes moments, testimonials, interviews, celebrations, worship, community, and the everyday life of the church.
  • Develop creative concepts and content ideas that align with the ministry's voice and social media strategy.
  • Edit photos and videos into polished, platform-ready content.
  • Stay current with social media trends, formats, sounds, and creative storytelling techniques.
  • Create content that feels authentic, relatable, current, and consistent with the ministry's brand.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for organic content rather than waiting for assignments.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Social Media Supervisor to execute the overall content strategy.
  • Collaborate with ministry leaders, pastors, staff, and volunteers to capture content that supports their ministry areas.
  • Communicate upcoming content needs and coordinate content capture around the ministry calendar.
  • Receive creative direction and complete assigned content projects within established deadlines.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding availability, assignments, and deliverables.

Content Organization

  • Properly organize and upload photo and video assets according to established file-management procedures.
  • Maintain organized folders and clearly labeled content for easy access by the social media team.
  • Deliver edited content according to agreed-upon deadlines and specifications.
  • Protect and properly handle ministry-owned photography and videography equipment.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and engagement strategies.
  • Experience with photography, videography, and content editing tools.
  • Working knowledge of video editing, motion graphics, and basic animation principles.
  • Strong visual storytelling and creative content development skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify compelling moments and create authentic, engaging content.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of project management and content planning tools preferred.
  • Ability to receive creative direction and implement feedback effectively.
  • Proven creative ability and strong content portfolio required.

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand and walk around for long periods of time while gathering content

  • Must related and interact with people at all levels.
  • Must be motivated and able to work with very little direction.

Working Conditions:

  • Works in a normal office environment.
  • Works in church service and event settings

OTHER:

  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
  • Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills
