Social Media & Communications Manager

Seven-Month Contract

About the Role

Enchanted Parks is seeking a Social Media & Communications Manager to provide hands-on support for corporate social media, cross-park content coordination, guest communications, and social media operations across the Enchanted Parks corporate channels and eight-park portfolio. This seven-month contract role will manage corporate social media channels, help guide park-level content quality and brand consistency, support campaign and special-project execution, and maintain key social media tools, reporting, and vendor processes during the Corporate Director's leave of absence. The role will also provide light corporate communications support, including guest-facing messaging, internal guidelines, FAQs, and cross-departmental coordination as needed. The ideal candidate is a strong social media generalist with excellent writing, sound brand judgment, organized follow-through, and the ability to coordinate across corporate, park, PR, marketing, and Guest Support teams.

What You'll Do

Social Media:

  • Manage the Enchanted Parks corporate social media channels, including calendar planning, content concepts, editing, publishing, community management, and guest message response.
  • Coordinate Enchanted Parks corporate social messaging with Corporate Marketing and PR to ensure consistent, timely communication across departments.
  • Write creative briefs and coordinate cross-park content execution for shared campaigns, collaborative content, and special projects.
  • Partner with agency resources as needed to support content production and campaign execution.
  • Keep park teams on track to execute strategic plans and deliver consistent content through editorial planning, content feedback, and community management best practices.
  • Review and approve park-submitted content against brand, tone, and quality standards across the portfolio.
  • Analyze social content, channel performance, brand sentiment, earned media, and social listening data, preparing weekly reports and actionable recommendations for corporate and park teams.
  • Provide social media subject-matter input into the agency RFP process as needed, such as reviewing vendor content samples or platform capabilities.
  • Lead the 2027 Social Media Intern recruitment process, including recruitment materials, training programs, role expectations, interview process, and related needs.

Tools & Systems:

  • Own the monthly budget submissions for social media departmental expenses.
  • Develop resources for park teams, including training materials, editing templates, and social media toolkits.
  • Manage vendor relationships for social media platforms such as Dash Social and Talkwalker during the director's leave of absence.
  • Own social media operational systems and handle administrative coordination for team tools, including managing user access/allocations, supporting basic technical troubleshooting, making minor Airtable build adjustments, etc.
  • Continue the onboarding and implementation process for ReviewTrackers and Talkwalker during the director's leave of absence.

Communications & Guest Service:

  • Coordinate with the corporate marketing team on communications initiatives, CSR projects, guest-facing statements, leadership messaging, and cross-departmental announcements as assigned.
  • Write and distribute corporate-level guidelines and FAQs to internal guest communications teams and Guest Support.
  • Coordinate with Guest Support on guest service messaging, including maintaining and reviewing messaging templates used across parks.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination with Guest Support during critical issues and messaging escalations, including support during the call center transition.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years of professional social media management and communications experience, ideally within the theme park industry or spanning multiple brands, locations, or properties.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Strong content judgment with a sharp editing pen; able to assess and give feedback on brand/tone fit quickly.
  • Comfortable managing community response and guest-facing communication in a fast-moving environment.
  • Organized and self-directed; able to manage multiple properties' content needs simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with content calendar/project management tools (Airtable experience a plus).
  • Strong understanding of current social media trends and emerging platform best practices, with a creative eye for brand storytelling.
  • Experience managing social media content creators is a plus.
