About Dick's Drive-In
Dick's Drive-In Restaurants is a family-owned restaurant company with more than 70 years of history delivering timeless value and creating lifelong memories for customers, employees, and communities. As we grow throughout the region, we are seeking an experienced Social Media and Content Manager to strengthen our digital presence and share the stories that make Dick's Drive-In distinctive.
Position Overview
This hands-on individual-contributor* role leads social strategy, creates original brand content, engages customers and fans, and uses performance data to inform digital results. The position works across restaurant locations, community events, campaigns, and digital channels in close partnership with the Director of Marketing and other stakeholders.
A central function is serving as a recurring public-facing representative of Dick's Drive-In. The manager will research, script, develop, produce, and appear in photographic, digital, print, and video content. Success requires clear scripted and unscripted communication, sound judgment, responsiveness to creative direction, and consistent representation of the Dick's Drive-In brand voice and customer experience.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Lead organic social strategy and day-to-day social media channel management across current and relevant emerging platforms; maintain editorial calendars, publishing plans, and a consistent brand voice.
- Create original content from concept through publication, including research, scriptwriting, copywriting, photography, short-form video, editing, and publishing; regularly serve as an on-camera and brand representative.
- Capture and direct content at restaurants, events, and community activations, collaborating with employees, customers, creators, and partners featured in brand content.
- Manage community engagement and social listening; monitor sentiment, identify trends and opportunities, and escalate customer-service or reputation concerns appropriately.
- Track channel and campaign performance, prepare actionable recommendations, and plan, manage, and optimize paid social campaigns, audiences, budgets, creative performance, and results.
- Support campaigns, partnerships, influencer/creator relationships, and cross-functional initiatives while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Use approved AI-enabled and emerging tools responsibly to improve research, ideation, production efficiency, listening, and analysis while protecting accuracy, confidentiality, intellectual property, brand voice, and customer trust.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional social media, digital content, or closely related brand-marketing experience, including substantial ownership of multi-platform consumer-facing accounts.
- Portfolio/work samples demonstrating short-form video, photography, copywriting, campaign work, and professional on-camera or public-facing content.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to serve regularly as an on-camera and photographic representative, deliver scripted and unscripted content, and respond effectively to creative direction.
- Experience developing social content from concept through publication, engaging online communities, and using social media management, publishing, analytics, and content-production tools.
- Experience managing paid social campaigns, including audience selection, optimization, performance measurement, and reporting; ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Strong project-management and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and changing priorities.
- Ability to create photo and video content using mobile devices and appropriate production equipment and to work regularly at Seattle-area and regional restaurant, event, and community locations, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Ability to comply with applicable company policies regarding in-restaurant hygiene, wardrobe, safety, and standards, with reasonable accommodation as required by law.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with restaurant, retail, hospitality, food-and-beverage, or other consumer-facing brands; creator/influencer or community-partnership programs; and/or social listening and approved AI-enabled marketing tools.
- Familiarity with Pacific Northwest audiences and communities.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Previous Dick's Drive-In employment or operational restaurant experience.

- Regular local driving between restaurant, event, and production locations is an essential function. Ability to satisfy applicable role travel requirements is required.
- The position requires transporting and setting up routine content-production/marketing equipment (35lbs.) and working in active restaurant and event environments, with or without reasonable accommodation.
