As an SEO Manager, you will drive the growth and performance of Optus’ organic search channel across a diverse portfolio of digital properties, partnering closely with marketing, digital and cross-functional teams. You will leverage your expertise across content-led, technical and off-page SEO to maximise organic visibility, while leading the evolution of AI Organic traffic through established and emerging GEO/AIO strategies. Working autonomously, you will influence technical architecture discussions, optimise modern web experiences, build strong stakeholder relationships, and provide guidance and training to peers, ensuring SEO best practice is embedded across the organisation to deliver measurable business outcomes.

What You’ll Do
- Drive organic growth for various Optus portfolios, products, and services.
- Conduct keyword and competitor research to find opportunities.
- Successfully implement on-site optimisation and testing.
- Guide and implement a customer-focused content strategy.
- Grow visibility, preference, and referrals from AI-powered search interfaces.
- Collaborate with technical development teams to ensure flawless technical SEO implementations.
- Liaise with the Paid Marketing team to align strategies.
- Educate and guide team peers to instil a culture of optimization and experimentation.
- Performance reporting to track and communicate progress.
What makes you perfect for the role?
- Proven experience in on-page and off-page SEO, with a strong understanding of technical SEO, especially JavaScript and modern web technologies.
- Capacity to think innovatively and push against conventional ideas.
- Outstanding communication skills to understand complex products and services and train peers.
- Experience in keyword analysis, technical implementations, and SEO training.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal collaborators and successfully implement changes to digital properties.
- A track record of growing organic search traffic and improving visitor engagement and conversions.
- Understanding of B2C lead management processes and how to connect on-page experience with back-end processes.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, and able to operate autonomously.
