Cluey Ltd is an established education company and the largest online tutoring provider in Australia. Through Cluey Learning and Code Camp, we help school-aged children across Australia and New Zealand make real progress and feel more confident doing it.
We're looking for an experienced SEO & AEO Specialist to own organic discovery across both brands.
This is a hands-on, project-based role with an immediate focus on migrating our existing SEO footprint from WordPress and a legacy PHP server into Webflow while protecting the rankings, traffic, authority and SEO equity we've already built.
You'll also lead our AEO/GEO strategy, helping Cluey and Code Camp become more visible across AI-powered search and increasingly surfaced and cited by platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Perplexity.
What you will be doing
You will:
- Lead the SEO migration into Webflow, including URL mapping, redirects, metadata, canonicals, internal linking, sitemaps and indexing.
- Audit our existing organic footprint and protect high-value rankings, traffic, backlinks and SEO equity through the migration.
- Implement and validate technical and on-page SEO within Webflow.
- Monitor organic performance before and after migration and resolve issues quickly.
- Own our ongoing SEO strategy, including technical, content, local and programmatic SEO opportunities.
- Develop and implement our AEO/GEO strategy, improving visibility and citations across AI search and answer engines.
- Identify the topics, questions and content opportunities where Cluey and Code Camp should be visible.
- Establish practical measurement across Google Search Console, GA4 and emerging AI search visibility metrics.
- Work with the marketing and content teams to embed SEO and AEO into new content and landing pages.
- Report clearly on performance, priorities and opportunities.
What you'll bring
You'll be an experienced, hands-on SEO specialist with strong technical foundations and a genuine understanding of how search is evolving.
-
5+ years' hands-on SEO experience, ideally including significant website migrations.
- Proven experience protecting organic performance through a website migration.
- Strong technical SEO knowledge, including redirects, indexing, crawlability, canonicalisation, sitemaps and site architecture.
- Strong Webflow experience and the ability to implement SEO changes yourself.
- Experience with WordPress and legacy/custom website environments.
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO, content optimisation and internal linking.
- Experience with Google Search Console, GA4 and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush or Screaming Frog.
- Practical experience with AEO/GEO and AI search optimisation, with an understanding of how AI engines discover, interpret and cite content.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commercially minded, with a focus on meaningful organic growth rather than rankings for their own sake.
- Comfortable working autonomously and turning strategy into execution.
You'll stand out if you also have experience with:
- Programmatic SEO and large-scale content.
- Structured data / Schema.org.
- Local and location-based SEO.
- AI search visibility and citation tracking.
- Using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to improve SEO research, analysis and workflows.
- AI-augmented automation and tools such as Cursor, Claude Code or Codex.
The engagement
This is a fractional (2 days per week), project-based role, with the initial focus on the SEO migration into Webflow and establishing our SEO and AEO foundations.
There is potential for ongoing project-based work as we continue to grow our organic discovery strategy.
Why Cluey
- Work across two established education brands: Cluey Learning and Code Camp.
- Own a significant SEO migration with real commercial impact.
- Shape our organic strategy as search rapidly evolves into AI-powered discovery.
- Work with a collaborative marketing team and senior leaders.
- Genuine autonomy and flexibility.
- Potential for ongoing project work.
If you're a hands-on SEO specialist who knows how to protect organic performance, build strong SEO foundations and stay ahead of the shift from search engines to answer engines, we'd love to hear from you.
