About the role
As a Senior Paid Search Manager you run 2 to 3 client accounts that need significant oversight, and you manage the people running the rest.
A large part of this job now runs through AI, and that has changed what the role spends its time on. If that's not how you want to work, this won't be the right fit.
We're a small, growing team. Your responsibilities will grow and change with the company and you'll have an enormous impact on the business.
What you'll own
Your accounts
- Run 2 to 3 client accounts that need significant oversight, across Google Ads (Search, PMax, Demand Gen, YouTube, Shopping) and Microsoft Ads.
- Set the strategy, and own the bidding and account structure calls.
- Run budget pacing off a forecast you built, and say where the month lands before the client asks.
- Write the weekly client report, and the story that goes with the numbers.
Your team
- Manage a few Paid Search Managers. Weekly 1:1s, growth plans, and honest reviews.
- Review work before it reaches a client. You own the quality bar across the team's accounts, not only your own.
- Sit in hiring loops.
- Step onto an account yourself when one is off track.
Thought leadership
- Write for our blog, and build out the paid search playbooks the rest of the team works from.
- Track what's changing across the platforms, and say what it means for our accounts before a client asks.
- Run internal sessions and webinars on the things you know best.
AI and tooling (this part is not optional)
- Run reporting and analysis through Claude using our skills and MCP connectors.
- Build skills and workflows the whole team uses, not only your own.
- Judge AI output critically, and hold the team to the same standard.
New business and measurement
- Lead audits for prospects, and present them in pitches.
- Reconcile platform numbers against attribution tools and the client's own reporting.
- Catch tracking problems before they show up in a report.
About you
- 5+ years hands-on in Google Ads, including time at an agency. Microsoft Ads experience is a plus.
- You've managed people, or you've been the person others came to and you're ready to make it official.
- Deep on SEM fundamentals, with opinions you can defend using data.
- Familiarity with GA4, GTM, and conversion tracking setups.
- You've built with AI, not only prompted it. A workflow automation, a reporting tool, a script that took a manual step out of your week.
- Comfortable in spreadsheets: pacing models, pivot tables, audit sheets.
- You write and speak clearly for a specific reader, and you can hold a room with a founder or an exec.
- Proactive by default. You raise things before anyone asks, and you take ownership of performance outcomes.
- Bonus: Shopping feeds, YouTube, cross-channel context (Meta, TikTok), or hands-on tracking implementation.
