As a Senior Officer, Digital Marketing you will:

  • Develop, edit and maintain high-quality digital content across Deakin's public-facing website and other digital channels, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines, editorial standards, SEO best practices and user experience principles.
  • Coordinate the development, review and delivery of digital marketing content, including EDMs, campaign landing pages and recruitment materials, using content management systems such as Squiz and Umbraco.
  • Manage website content updates and change requests, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure content is accurate, relevant and delivered in line with established governance processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with academic and professional stakeholders to source, develop and manage content, including student, staff and alumni stories, while supporting the production and proofing of marketing collateral.
  • Support the delivery of faculty marketing initiatives by contributing to recruitment campaigns, publications, annual content reviews and broader marketing plan activities, ensuring projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience, including a degree with subsequent relevant experience, extensive specialist knowledge, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Demonstrated experience creating, editing and producing digital content across websites, EDM campaigns and other digital channels, supported by strong written communication skills.
  • Understanding of web design and user experience principles, including information architecture, usability considerations, and HTML and WCAG accessibility requirements relevant to digital publishing.
  • Experience using content management systems such as Squiz Matrix or Umbraco, and email marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud. (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of digital optimisation principles, including search engine optimisation (SEO) and artificial intelligence optimisation (AIO), to support content discoverability, audience engagement and performance. (Desirable)
