Senior Manager - Paid Media Creative Strategy

The Small Business Marketing team drives acquisition and customer engagement across Charge Cards, Proprietary Lending products, and co-brand partnerships, playing a critical role in accelerating U.S. SME growth.
Within this organization, the Small Business Demand Generation team is responsible for creating best-in-class, integrated prospect experiences that drive new Card Member acquisition.
The Senior Manager, Paid Media Creative Strategy will be responsible for leading and advancing the creative strategy for the Prospect and Customer Paid Media programs. This individual will bring together customer insights, creative strategy, channel expertise, performance data, and external trends to develop creative that engages small business owners, drives conversion, and advances growth across the SBS product portfolio.
Responsibilities
This is a highly visible role that will lead end-to-end creative development and production across paid media, influence creative strategy across acquisition channels, and lead a team of three direct reports. We are looking for a strategic, creative, and performance-oriented marketing leader who can:
- Lead the Creative Strategy: Own and advance the paid media creative strategy, defining the vision and priorities for differentiated, demand-driving creative.
- Develop Best-in-Class Creative: Lead end-to-end creative development and production across display, social, video, and audio, partnering with agencies from strategy and briefing through execution and approvals.
- Turn Performance into Action: Use customer, channel, and creative performance insights to optimize creative, shape test-and-learn priorities, and identify opportunities to improve conversion.
- Drive Creative Innovation: Bring an external perspective to identify and test emerging formats, channels, capabilities, and creative approaches that can modernize acquisition marketing and accelerate growth.
- Champion Connected Acquisition Experiences: Partner with Marketing channel owners, Product, and Go To Market teams to champion creative best practices and deliver cohesive experiences for the SBS audience.
- Lead Cross-Functional Partnerships: Build strong relationships across Marketing, agency partners, and key marketing operations stakeholder teams to align priorities, influence strategy, and drive effective execution.
- Lead & Develop the Team: Lead, coach, and develop a team of three direct reports, building a high-performing culture grounded in collaboration, creativity, and empowerment.
Qualifications
- Bring Relevant Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, creative strategy, acquisition marketing, paid media, or a related discipline.
- Think Strategically & Creatively: Strong strategic and creative thinker with the ability to translate business and customer objectives into compelling marketing strategies and successful digital executions.
- Know the Digital Landscape: Strong understanding of digital media and creative ecosystems, including emerging trends, formats, platforms, capabilities, and measurement approaches.
- Turn Insights into Action: Strong analytical and performance orientation with the ability to translate customer, channel, and creative insights into clear strategies and actions.
- Drive Results & Innovation: Proven ability to define what winning looks like, prioritize opportunities, challenge the status quo, and drive innovative ideas through execution.
- Influence & Build Alignment: Strong leadership and relationship-management skills with the ability to navigate a matrixed organization, build consensus, and influence across stakeholders.
- Lead & Thrive in Change: Demonstrated ability to coach and develop talent while effectively navigating a dynamic, fast-paced environment and bringing clarity to complex challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
