Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics & Insights is the analytical lead for ACP's Marketing organization, responsible for developing and advancing marketing measurement, audience intelligence, performance reporting, and strategic insights capabilities across the organization. This role helps ACP understand marketing effectiveness across membership, events, sponsorships, audience development, brand, content, digital, and growth initiatives, translating complex data into actionable insights that inform priorities, investment decisions, and organizational growth.

Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Senior Manager develops and evolves the analytical frameworks that support ACP's marketing strategy, including audience segmentation, attribution, forecasting, marketing performance measurement, and optimization. The role applies strong analytical judgment to assess how marketing investments influence membership growth, event participation, sponsorship value, audience engagement, pipeline development, and other key organizational outcomes.

This is a senior individual contributor role that serves as the analytical center of excellence for Marketing. The role builds strong cross-functional partnerships across Brand & Content Marketing, Growth Marketing, Digital Marketing & Operations, Membership, Events, IT, and other stakeholders to establish meaningful measures of success, identify trends and opportunities, and provide recommendations that influence marketing strategy, investment decisions, audience engagement, and organizational growth initiatives.

Marketing Analytics & Performance Measurement

  • Develop and maintain ACP's marketing measurement framework, establishing consistent definitions, methodologies, and reporting across brand awareness, audience engagement, demand generation, membership, events, sponsorships, conversion, retention, and revenue outcomes.
  • Analyze performance across brand, content, digital, membership, events, sponsorships, audience development, and growth marketing initiatives to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting that connect marketing activity to key audience, marketing, revenue, and organizational goals, including executive-level reporting that provides visibility into performance, growth metrics, marketing ROI, and strategic priorities.
  • Develop benchmarks, forecasts, and performance models that help Marketing and ACP leaders understand expected results, assess progress, and identify meaningful changes in performance.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Director, Growth Marketing to develop measurement approaches and establish KPIs, evaluate Membership and Event marketing effectiveness, and translate performance data into actionable insights and recommendations.

Audience Intelligence, Segmentation & Journey Analysis

  • Develop and refine audience segmentation models that identify meaningful audience groups and provide insight into differences in engagement, conversion, and retention across ACP’s audiences.
  • Build analytical views of audience journeys across ACP touchpoints, identifying how priority audiences engage with ACP and providing insight into Membership and Event participant behaviors and decision points.
  • Identify conversion points, drop-off patterns, engagement signals, and opportunities to improve audience progression across the marketing funnel and priority audience segments.
  • Provide insights that inform business prioritization, targeting, lifecycle strategy, campaign development, and optimization.

Attribution, Testing & Optimization

  • Partner with functional leads to measure and evaluate the performance of ACP's digital channels, website experience, content strategy, audience acquisition efforts, and brand-building initiatives.
  • Develop practical attribution methodologies that improve ACP’s understanding of how marketing channels, campaigns, and touchpoints contribute to engagement, demand, conversion, and revenue outcomes.
  • Design and lead measurement approaches for marketing tests and experiments, including audience, message, channel, offer, landing page, and lifecycle optimization.
  • Analyze test results and campaign performance to distinguish meaningful signals from short-term fluctuations and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Continuously improve ACP’s approach to marketing measurement as data quality, technology, audience behavior, and organizational needs evolve.

Insights & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Membership, Events, IT, and other stakeholders to develop measurement approaches, evaluate performance, and ensure initiatives are structured for effective measurement and that performance insights are incorporated into ongoing optimization.
  • Support strategic planning and prioritization across ACP's marketing initiatives through audience insights, forecasting, performance analysis, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Provide insights that support executive decision-making, annual planning, marketing investment prioritization, and broader organizational priorities. Present findings, recommendations, and performance insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner, adapting complex information for different audiences as needed.

Education, Experience, Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, analytics, statistics, economics, communications, or related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in marketing analytics, growth marketing, demand generation, lifecycle marketing, marketing operations, business intelligence, or related discipline, with demonstrated growth in scope, ownership, and complexity.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing marketing funnels, audience behavior, campaign performance, and conversion across multiple channels and audience segments with the ability to identify trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong experience with audience segmentation, journey analysis, attribution methodologies, testing and experimentation, forecasting, and marketing performance measurement.
  • Strong understanding of CRM, marketing automation, web analytics, SEO, SEM, digital marketing measurement, audience segmentation, and attribution methodologies.
  • Experience developing dashboards, measurement frameworks, reporting standards, and analytical models that support marketing and business decision-making.
  • Experience developing executive-level reporting, KPI frameworks, and strategic marketing performance reviews that clearly communicate performance, trends, risks, and opportunities to senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical judgment, including the ability to identify meaningful patterns, question assumptions, recognize data limitations, and communicate the level of confidence behind findings.
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into concise recommendations for marketers and senior stakeholders who may not have technical or analytical backgrounds and influence decisions through data and insights.
  • Experience working in a B2B, membership, association, events, or similarly relationship-driven environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships and influence work across Marketing, IT, Digital, Membership, Events, technology, and other functions without direct authority.
  • Ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of complex analytical work and priorities while collaborating closely with colleagues responsible for strategy and campaign execution.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with and the ability to communicate both analytical methodology and business implications clearly to audiences at varying levels of technical expertise and seniority.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and adapt approach as business needs, available data, and organizational priorities evolve.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, data visualization, and related marketing technology platforms.

Job Conditions

We are a fast-paced, high-energy organization with a very ambitious agenda and a staff that is highly motivated. This position may experience high-level work demands and independent decision-making under tight timelines. Regular travel across the country for meetings or events may be required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. ACP will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

We reasonably believe that the base salary range for this position is $100,000- 125,000 annually.
