Role Purpose
To lead on and oversee the network approach to content in a way that brings our brand to life and helps drive commercial growth objectives. This includes the planning, development and adaptation or design, creation and evaluation of content for all stages of the customer journey and across all channels e.g., SEO, referral programmes, social media etc. ensuring it supports overall business objectives. The Senior Content Marketing Manager will work closely with the global SBU content marketing teams to ensure alignment with overall content strategy and with the Brand Team to ensure brand excellence and creative efficiencies. They oversee the end-to-end multi-channel content adaptation or creation process and are accountable for network content marketing initiatives to drive engagement, traffic and leads that ultimately deliver sale and promotes customer retention.
Role Accountabilities
Consultancy, analysis and problem solving
Oversees the adaptation, creation and optimisation of content across platforms and formats to drive sales, engagement, retention and leads. Provides network insight into global content briefs, oversees regionalisation, localisation, testing and iteration of assets, and ensures content is delivered efficiently at scale through templating and technology. Manages content packs and network print requirements, using data and insight to recommend improvements and challenge where appropriate.
Brand and market positioning
Drives a consistent, effective approach to content across the network, balancing global brand standards with local market needs. Gathers feedback from category, network and country marketing teams, oversees content for network-specific channels, and feeds market insight back to global teams to strengthen content and positioning.
Sector/subject expertise
Provides expert advice on content strategy, assets and optimisation, leading the network content plan in alignment with global strategy, including segmentation, channels and content calendars. Ensures content is on brand, consistent in quality, tone and style, and optimised for search and user experience. Stays abreast of content trends and best practice, applying strong business and operational insight to content planning and delivery.
Relationship and stakeholder management
Builds strong, collaborative relationships with network SBU marketing teams, global content teams and the Brand Team to understand needs, shape priorities and improve content effectiveness. Manages expectations around capacity, provides expert challenge where needed, and works across marketing teams to ensure alignment and reduce duplication.
Commercial and resource management
Manages content-related agencies where additional capacity is required and oversees the network content marketing budget, ensuring resources are used effectively and initiatives deliver value for money.
Leadership and management
Leads and coordinates the network content team, ensuring effective prioritisation and that work is delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.
