As the brand guardian for all press and content activity, you will ensure our properties, people and brands are consistently promoted to their full potential. You will identify opportunities to secure compelling coverage and continue to reinforce our position as London's number 1 estate agent. With excellent planning, writing and proofreading skills, you will develop fresh, purposeful content that supports our wider business and brand objectives.
Location: Clapham Junction
Hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm
Salary: £30,000-£32,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities - Press:
- Curate quotes for editorial features and coordinate with Directors for topical commentary in line with the business style.
- Oversee both Dexters and Marsh & Parsons press inboxes, ensuring responses are consistent and reflect the company’s tone of voice.
- Use the PR prompt email to help find opportunities for Dexters and Marsh & Parsons, corresponding with the appropriate journalist.
- Regular, proactive and reactive contact with journalists, including attending appropriate events to network and build relationships.
- Ensure websites, socials and internal intranet are up to date with recent successes.
- Monthly call outs to Dexters, Marsh & Parsons and Waterview offices to identify story opportunities for properties and encourage press engagement.
- Suggest possible press angles for consideration - topical, seasonal themes.
- Confident understanding of tone of voice and business style.
- Provide statistics on press features.
- Source data and stats to support market commentary on a quarterly basis for sales and lettings. Liaise with office Directors for comment on their local markets.
Key Responsibilities - Content:
- Review press releases from our external PR team team.
- Confident understanding of our business writing style.
- Contribute to landlord, tenant and investment email communication and newsletters.
- Write, edit, and proofread content for websites, blogs, and other marketing materials.
- Assist with letter libraries, including tout letters - does the content serve its purpose.
- Scope, plan and write articles for various magazines.
- Produce area guides for new and existing office locations across all brands.
- Create bi-weekly blogs to a planned schedule, covering seasonal topics, press insights and
- business news, whilst considering SEO.
- Contribute to the future planning and development of company newsletters e.g Index.
- Review blog statistics and gain insights into audience engagement.
- Research content topics to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
Key Requirements:
- Preferably a degree in journalism, English, communications, or a related field.
- Excellent general knowledge and grasp of current news (property related).
- A natural storyteller with a passion for writing along with strong communication skills.
- Ability to adapt written style/ tone of voice depending on brand.
- Self starter, able to research a topic and find a story.
- Enthusiastic, driven with a good attitude to providing a 6 star service.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail.
- Spot trends and monitor competitor output, to ensure content is relevant to audience.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple projects.
