About the Role

This is a key role in MTF’s Marketing and Communications team, responsible for capturing in-market demand through performance marketing channels and ensuring that demand moves efficiently through the digital funnel to become high-quality submitted leads for the business.

 

This is not a “set and forget” campaign role. We’re looking for someone who wants to understand the full performance picture: what is happening, why it is happening, what the data is telling us and what we should do next.

 

You’ll directly manage core performance marketing activity across channels such as paid search and paid social, while also working with external specialists, agencies and platform partners where needed. You’ll be close to the tools and the data, but your value will go beyond platform management. You’ll help MTF Finance improve traffic quality, conversion efficiency, lead quality and cost effectiveness.

 

A big part of this role is protecting lead-to-loan performance. We don’t want to optimise for lead volume alone. We want performance marketing activity that brings the right people into the funnel and helps turn in-market demand into commercially valuable leads.

You’ll work closely with our Campaign Manager, Marketing Technology Lead, and cross-functional teams to identify performance opportunities, understand funnel friction and make better decisions about where and how we invest.

 

This role would suit someone with a strong marketing foundation, a technical edge and a genuinely curious mind. You might not have done everything yet, but you’ll be the kind of person who wants to get under the hood, ask better questions and turn insight into action.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead MTF Finance’s performance marketing approach across key acquisition channels, with a focus on capturing in-market demand and converting it into high-quality submitted leads.
  • Directly manage and optimise core performance marketing activity, including campaign structure, audience strategy, targeting, messaging, bidding, budget pacing and conversion performance.
  • Analyse performance data to understand what has changed, why it may have changed and what action should be taken.
  • Monitor the digital acquisition funnel, including traffic quality, application starts and submitted leads, to identify friction points, quality issues and optimisation opportunities.
  • Make performance recommendations that balance lead volume, lead quality, conversion efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to improve campaign performance, digital conversion pathways and acquisition outcomes.
  • Use performance insight to support MTF Finance’s wider marketing strategy, growth priorities and KPI delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to connect online and offline lead generation activity across campaigns, local activity, partnerships and sales channels.
  • Keep an eye on changes in media platforms, search behaviour, customer demand and AI-enabled discovery, identifying what these shifts mean for MTF Finance’s performance marketing approach.

 

Key Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone with a marketing brain, a performance mindset and the curiosity to dig into the data until the story becomes clear.
 

You’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • 3+ years’ proven hands-on experience in performance marketing, digital acquisition, paid media, search marketing or a related role.
  • Experience managing and optimising performance marketing campaigns across relevant acquisition channels.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to investigate performance movements and translate data into clear insights, recommendations and actions.
  • Experience working with digital acquisition funnels, including traffic quality, conversion pathways and submitted lead outcomes.
  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to connect marketing activity to business outcomes, lead quality, acquisition efficiency and growth priorities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.

You’re technically confident, curious and willing to go deep to understand what is driving performance. You’re comfortable working across platforms, data and digital marketing tools, but you don’t forget there are real people behind the clicks.

You’re creative and audience-led, with a strong understanding of how relevant messages, channels and experiences influence action. You’re commercially sharp and comfortable balancing customer needs, marketing outcomes and business growth.

You’re pragmatic and hands-on. You know when to do the work yourself, when to bring in specialist support, when to automate and when to ask better questions before jumping to a solution.
