Job Description:
We're looking for a Social & Influencer Coordinator to join our Marketing team for 20 hours a week, reporting into the Brand Marketing Lead. Ideally, you're a music-lover, ingrained in music culture and would be comfortable engaging with our audience of musicians across social platforms. You will have some experience in social media management, marketing or communications and feel comfortable picking up quite an established system for managing our organic social media strategy.
Your day-to-day would involve managing our social media posting schedule, analysing performance metrics and guiding future strategies. You’ll be working closely with our design team and musicians/influencers who are primarily responsible for content creation, with some light content creation involved from you, including editing our longer videos into short-form cut-downs for social. A big part of the role is building our community: reaching out to and connecting with players, creators and musicians, and turning fans into genuine advocates for Melodics. That includes finding the right influencers to partner with, building real relationships with them, steering their content and tracking how it performs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, create, and post organic content across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Manage the content calendar and collaborate with the team for timely posts.
- Edit long-form content (lessons, artist sessions, YouTube videos) into short-form cut-downs for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
- Experiment with content formats, topics, and posting strategies to boost engagement.
- Track and report on social growth, including monthly performance reviews.
- Build and nurture our community of players, musicians and creators, turning engaged fans into genuine advocates
- Find and connect with people already talking about Melodics, and give them reasons to keep sharing.
- Stay updated on trends and relevant music for our audience.
- Optimise social media home pages for better performance.
- Manage influencer campaigns, including budgeting, outreach, negotiations, and performance tracking.
- Support the wider marketing team across other channels where relevant, including campaign emails.
About you:
- You've run social accounts for a brand, artist, label or yourself, and can show us the results
- You're confident editing short-form video (Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, DaVinci or similar)
- You write well in any format, from punchy captions to comment replies and creator outreach, always in a voice that sounds like a real person
- You can manage your own time across a few workstreams
Bonus points for:
- You play an instrument, produce, or are otherwise deep in music culture
- Experience with email platforms like Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo or Mailchimp
- Experience running creator or influencer campaigns for a brand
- Knowing your way around a drum kit, MIDI controllers, or pads
Hours: 20 hours per week (occasionally up to 24 by agreement), including a 30-minute check-in Monday to Saturday to engage with our community. The other 17 hours are flexible to suit you.
Rate: NZD$40 per hour
