Marketing and Social Media Assistant

About The Role:

Atria Books is currently seeking a Marketing and Social Media Assistant. Our team is a dynamic, diverse, creative group committed to our authors and to publishing their books for maximum impact. Atria publishes a range of bestselling, and award-winning fiction and nonfiction from authors including Colleen Hoover, Allen Levi, Brad Thor, Hannah Grace, Janet Evanovich, Vince Flynn, Zakiya Dalila Harris, Fredrik Backman, Lisa Jewell, Charlamagne Tha God, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Reyna Grande, Rebecca Serle, William Kent Krueger, and many more.

This person will work directly with the Marketing Director and Marketing Managers on administrative support for high-priority marketing campaigns and manage our imprint’s social media presence. This is a collaborative and engaging team that will build new marketing initiatives and explore industry-leading strategies. Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior marketing managers to help execute multi-tier marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on digital and social strategy.
  • Assist marketing leads on high-priority titles each season, with content strategy top of mind.
  • Create, schedule, and manage social media content, including oversight of Atria’s content calendar.
  • Collaborate with title marketers on content for individual book titles.
  • Oversee Atria’s influencer program.
  • Present ideas to grow Atria’s social presence, track social media performance, analyze engagement data, and share actionable insights to improve content and campaign strategies.
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, emerging technologies, and conversations relevant to books and publishing and update key findings to team.
  • Post Goodreads Giveaways and fulfill mailings to winners.
  • Handle some general administrative responsibilities for the Marketing Director.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Some experience social media marketing, digital marketing, content creation, or a related field.
  • Strong photography, videography, video-editing, and social-first copywriting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics, reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for book publishing and marketing.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, social media platforms, as well as general computer skills.
