Job Duties

  • MASTERY OF SPECIALIZATION: acts as a go to subject matter expert who can tackle ambiguous, high stakes work and set standards for others; connects specialty decisions to business strategy, insights, and downstream operational implications; mentors others in area of specialization, conducts reviews that elevate quality, and creates training, frameworks, or tooling that scale excellence across the team; evaluates emerging tools and approaches; measures impact and socializes outcomes; anticipates compliance, accessibility, and reputational risk and designs guardrails; operates with minimal oversight, making sound trade offs that protect both performance and quality.
  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION: leads collaboration for complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders, tight timelines, and competing priorities; establishes operating rhythms (cadences, decision trees, escalation paths) that reduce friction and ambiguity; facilitates alignment on goals, roles, success measures, and trade offs; secures decisions that keep the program on track; anticipates conflicts, mediates differences, and drives toward pragmatic solutions grounded in data and business impact; creates documentation that travels well across teams (briefs, scorecards, dashboards) to maintain ongoing clarity; sponsors and enables others to collaborate effectively by modeling behaviors and raising collaboration standards.
  • MESSAGE DEVELOPMENT AND STORYTELLING: designs message architectures for programs—defining core story, pillars, proof points, objection handling, and CTAs that ladder to strategy; validates resonance via structured testing (A/B, concept tests) and research, when necessary; translates insights into concrete narrative improvements; coaches others on clarity, tone, and persuasion; conducts reviews that raise quality without slowing teams down; aligns narratives across channels and functions to avoid fragmentation and message drift; builds reusable frameworks (e.g., value prop libraries, story maps) that speed future work; ensures messaging reflects brand values, is inclusive and accessible, and mitigates reputational risk.
  • CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION: leads development for complex programs; elevates creative ambition while balancing speed, cost, and risk; mentors creative thinking and problem solving that ties to outcomes; integrates insights from analytics, research, and market trends to shape differentiated concepts; builds systems (templates, review criteria, critique rituals) that consistently produce work that is creative/innovative; advocates for ideas that serve business.
  • CHANNEL OPTIMIZATION: designs integrated, multi channel sequences that reduce friction and lift engagement or conversion across the journey; leads structured test and learn programs and builds the operating rhythm to apply insights quickly; improves processes and standards to increase throughput, quality, and compliance across channels; partners with data and privacy teams to use data responsibly while improving relevance; identifies when to sunset stale tactics and where to pilot promising new ones; communicates results and recommendations clearly to stakeholders to drive adoption.
  • FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP: oversees program budgets across multiple vendors and channels, reallocating funds to maximize ROI and mitigate risk as performance signals emerge; builds clear business cases for incremental investment and communicates trade offs and scenarios to stakeholders; ensures commitments align with runway and capacity; introduces standards for scoping, rate cards, and service levels to stabilize cost and quality; makes tough calls to pause, pivot, or stop work that isn’t delivering value.
  • ROI AND IMPACT: establishes program level success measures linked to business outcomes and designs experiments to learn efficiently; synthesizes insights across sources (analytics, research, customer feedback, social listening, etc.) to guide strategy and resource allocation; builds mechanisms to operationalize learnings so improvements stick.
