Your Team:
Invesco’s Product Research & Insights team across EMEA and APAC serves as a strategic partner to Product, Distribution, and Investment teams, delivering deep product, market, competitive, and asset flow intelligence. By identifying emerging client needs, industry trends, competitive opportunities, and gaps within the product landscape, the team generates actionable insights that strengthen product positioning, inform product strategy and prioritisation, enhance client engagement, and support the development of innovative growth opportunities across the region.
Your Role:
This role offers a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of product strategy, distribution, and investments. You will play a key role in shaping Invesco's future active product agenda across EMEA, driving commercial outcomes for our existing range, and contributing to the delivery of the firm's long-term growth ambitions.
What you will be doing:
- Act as a subject-matter expert on Invesco's active public and private product suite, their competitive positioning, client demand trends, industry developments, across assigned asset classes and distribution markets, providing insights that inform strategic business decisions.
- Conduct in-depth product and competitor research to identify competitive advantages and develop differentiated value propositions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Product Development teams to evaluate Invesco's product shelf, identify strategic gaps, assess emerging investment opportunities, and support the ideation, prioritisation, structuring, and lifecycle management of innovative investment solutions.
- Collaborate with Distribution teams across the UK and assigned markets in EMEA to translate product and market intelligence into actionable insights that enhance client engagement, sales effectiveness, and commercial outcomes.
- Create and deliver compelling investment content & investment cases for our priority products that influence stakeholder decision-making and support commercial success.
- Contribute to client-driven product prioritisation and strategic planning processes by leveraging client demand signals, market intelligence, competitive analytics, and commercial opportunity assessments.
- Manage coverage of designated asset classes, products, and distribution markets while supporting the continued evolution of the Product Research & Insights service model.
- Act as an ambassador for the Product Research & Insights function, building strong stakeholder partnerships, fostering collaboration across Product, Investments, Distribution, and Marketing, and contributing to strategic decision-making through presentations, committees, and cross-functional initiatives.
What you will be bring:
- Proven years of experience in asset management, preferably spanning product research, product strategy, product development, or product positioning and effective delivery to senior stakeholders and/or clients.
- Demonstrated commercial judgement, strong intellectual curiosity, and a high level of execution discipline, with a proven ability to influence outcomes, lead initiatives, and manage complex cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
- Experience shaping product strategy, product prioritisation, product innovation, or product lifecycle decisions is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of the asset management industry, including public and private markets, investment strategies, distribution models, and trends shaping the future of investing.
- Strong understanding of the competitive landscape, client buying behaviours, consultant and gatekeeper frameworks, and the drivers of fund selection decisions.
- Knowledge of the UK market and broader EMEA investment ecosystem, including key industry developments and client demand trends.
- University degree, preferably in a discipline related to financial markets; a CFA designation or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
- Full professional fluency in English. Additional European languages are advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in research, market intelligence, and analytics platforms such as Morningstar Direct, eVestment, Broadridge, Preqin, PitchBook, Bloomberg, or similar tools.
- Strong ability to combine quantitative analysis and qualitative insights into clear, commercially relevant recommendations.
- Data science experience leveraging data analytics, automation, AI, or programming tools (e.g. Python, SQL, Power BI) to improve research capabilities and decision-making is increasingly valuable.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect product insights, market trends, client needs, competitive dynamics, and business objectives to identify actionable opportunities.
- Naturally curious and intellectually driven, with a passion for uncovering insights and challenging conventional thinking.
- Commercially minded with the confidence to influence decisions and challenge constructively at all levels of the organization.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, taking ownership of initiatives and proactively driving outcomes in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
