Job Description:
Who We Are
Weber Shandwick is more than a leading global PR agency – we’re an engagement agency and we’re working in and around the cutting edge of the new media landscape. We’re storytellers, content creators, and we engage people IN the story. Our success is built on a deep commitment to client service and to our people. We embrace creativity and collaboration, and we engage stakeholders in new and creative ways to build brands and reputations.
We’re looking for an Manager/Influencer Reporting Lead who loves digging into social data and turning it into clear, actionable stories for our Communications teams. In this role, you’ll help shape GM’s social strategy across brands by spotting what’s working, what’s not, and where we should go next with earned content creators and organic social.
You’ll be part of the Communications Research & Analytics team and work closely with partners who cover traditional media and owned social, building a connected view of how GM shows up across platforms.
What you’ll do
Serve as a go-to expert on social trends and content creator/influencer performance.
Recommend earned social engagement tactics, content approaches, and creator/influencer outreach based on what you see in the data.
Build monthly creator benchmarking reports across platforms and activations that are easy to scan and act on.
Research and recommend content creator partners based on audience demographics, event type, platform, and performance; partner with the Creator Engagements team on outreach recommendations.
Build ongoing creator and community maps: who shapes narratives in our space, what they care about, and how they move audiences.
Present social insights in a clear, engaging way to internal stakeholders and leadership to inform strategy and decision making.
Keep our social reporting tools and methods sharp and up to date by tracking new capabilities and best practices in the market.
Collaborate with social analysts and partners across General Motors to connect insights and avoid working in silos.
Support the Trend IQ Center by surfacing emerging social and cultural trends relevant to GM and our brands, spotting early signals in social and creator ecosystems.
What You'll Bring
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant full-time experience in marketing analytics, digital analytics, social listening, or campaign measurement.
Demonstrated experience analyzing and synthesizing data from first-party and third-party sources (e.g., social listening, web analytics, syndicated research).
Experience analyzing paid, earned, owned, and influencer media strategies.
Experience engaging and collaborating with large, complex clients; federal government experience is a plus.
Competencies:
Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated expertise in translating data and research into high-level strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
Collaboration: A team player with the ability to work independently while bringing unique analytics skills to large, integrated client teams.
Ownership & Accountability: The desire and capacity to take full ownership of work tracks, manage complicated processes, and deliver with excellence.
Client Service: The ability to build trust, nurture client relationships, and make complex data accessible and meaningful to various partners.
Future-Forward: A strong interest in and understanding of emerging AI tools and their application to data analysis and insight generation.
Salary range: $84,000 - $95,000
