Maxwood Furniture is a rapidly growing furniture company with an expanding portfolio of brands including Max & Lily, Plank + Beam, and Maxtrix. Since launching over two decades ago, we've built multiple sales channels across DTC websites and third-party marketplaces. We're passionate about designing inspiring, on-trend furniture that brings customers' home décor dreams to life.
We are seeking a new member to join our Marketing team. Are you ready to be part of something amazing?
Role Overview
We're looking for a Junior Copywriter to write and edit copy across a wide range of channels — including website, email/SMS, advertising, and video — while helping ensure every piece of content stays true to brand voice. You'll work primarily across our Max & Lily and Maxtrix brands, with the opportunity to support other brands in our portfolio, making this a great fit for an early-career writer looking to grow within a collaborative, cross-functional marketing team.
What You'll Do
- Write and edit website copy, including product pages, blog posts, collection pages, and other landing pages
- Write and edit email and SMS campaigns
- Write ad copy for Meta, Pinterest, ChatGPT, and other paid channels
- Write video scripts and copy for additional channels as our marketing efforts evolve
- Serve as a steward of brand voice, writing and editing copy across the team to ensure consistency with brand voice guidelines
- Work closely with the Senior Copywriter to develop, refine, and execute copy strategy
- Partner cross-functionally with the email/SMS, brand management, ads, graphic design, and customer care teams to bring campaigns to life
- Support campaign brainstorming and development, bringing both creative ideas and analytical thinking to the table
- Apply SEO best practices to website and blog content where applicable
- Balance work across multiple brands, with a primary focus on Max & Lily and Maxtrix
- Support special projects as needed
What Success Looks Like
- Copy is clear, on-brand, and consistent across every channel it touches
- Campaigns launch on time with writing that supports the broader creative vision
- Cross-functional partners see you as a reliable, collaborative writing resource
- Website and blog content is optimized for SEO where applicable
- You're growing more confident balancing multiple brands and channels at once
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required; degrees in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or English preferred
- Strong writing skills with meticulous attention to detail, grammar, and tone
- Writing samples and/or a portfolio required
- Solid understanding of what makes marketing copy effective — clear, persuasive, and audience-driven
- Strong creative and analytical skills, with the ability to contribute to campaign ideation as well as execution
- Comfort working across multiple brands and channels simultaneously
- SEO knowledge is a plus, but not required
- This is an entry-level friendly role — we welcome recent grads with strong writing chops
