Who are we?

We are MTM, a trusted strategy and insights consultancy. We specialise in media, entertainment, lifestyle and tech, helping the world's leading brands make courageous, data-driven decisions.

We’re a full-service strategic partner, offering commercial strategy, cultural insights and trends, qualitative and quantitative market research, data science and UX research for clients like Google, Samsung, Spotify, Sky Sports, BBC, Virgin Media O2 and Ofcom.

For two decades, our team has been inspiring our clients to make courageous, data-driven decisions with actionable insights that drive their business forward, across consumer, cultural, commercial and market insight.

We’re part of Brave Bison, an ambitious digital media, marketing and technology company that helps the biggest global organisations capitalise on the complexity of the digital era.

Our values:

We’re a proudly diverse business comprised of deep specialists across media, marketing, training and technology. Although our skills, backgrounds and beliefs may differ, we are united by four core shared values:

  • Bold Curiosity.

We run at change and challenge convention because we love to push the boundaries of what the world thinks is possible. We champion discovery, go deep into our clients’ worlds and are always hungry to learn more about them, our specialisms and each other.

  • Connected Clarity.

We are focused in our collaboration — joining the right dots between our clients, our partners and our herd of experts to deliver agile solutions at speed and scale. We set a shared ambition from the outset, are transparent at every stage and always strive to make the complex simple.

  • Positive Encouragement.

We want to make working with us the best part of someone’s day. We lift one other up, find the fun in the day to day and are committed to ensuring everyone belongs.

  • Constant Impact.

We believe in outcomes over outputs. We’re goal orientated, results driven and data-led. We show up with passion every day. And we’re always honing our craft.

The role

This is a new role at MTM, created to help us build a sales engine and unlock new revenue.

You'll work alongside our Head of Sales, developing the sales strategy, target accounts with intelligent account segmentation and E2E sales processes. You’ll be involved in driving targeted outreach, keeping account actions on track, and instilling pipeline discipline.

You'll own the parts that make good outreach actually happen: working out which contacts matter, building target lists, and helping Account Directors turn agreed plans into campaigns that go out the door.

You'll also work closely with MTM's marketing team, translating their campaigns and content into targeted account-level sales action, and feeding back the insight you gather on accounts, audiences and opportunities that matter most.

About You

To thrive in this role, you'll be:

  • Smart: You think like a strategy consultant because you are one at heart — you'll help shape which organisations and contacts we target, and why, using data and judgement rather than volume.
  • Organised: You build the systems that make a sales strategy real — turning account meetings into owned actions with deadlines, and tracking them through to done.
  • Analytical: You know how to find the opportunity — who matters in an organisation and why they'd care now — using data, desk research, LinkedIn and CRM information.
  • Team worker: Most of your impact comes through other people. You make it easy for busy Account Directors and senior consultants to act, and you build the trust to keep the pressure on constructively.
  • Hands-on and commercial: You're as comfortable building a target list or drafting outreach as you are shaping a growth plan — and you're motivated by turning good activity into pipeline and revenue.
  • Tech-savvy: You're confident with CRM platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI and automation tools — and use them to sharpen quality, not just increase volume.

You'll have:

  • 5+ years' experience in business development, growth, sales operations or a related commercial role — ideally within a consultancy, professional services, market research or similar B2B environment.
  • A track record of building or improving sales processes, segmentation or go-to-market approaches, not just running an existing playbook.
  • A track record of making things happen through other people, including people more senior than you.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, including account mapping, contact research and well-targeted list building.
  • Experience running targeted outreach across warm and cold audiences, including email, LinkedIn and events.
  • Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred), LinkedIn or Sales Navigator and modern research and AI tools, with the discipline to keep pipeline data and reporting useful.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft concise, credible and personalised outreach for senior audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Head of Sales to develop MTM's sales strategy, account segmentation and target list — then run the processes that put it into practice.
  • Act as the Head of Sales' right hand in running MTM's sales operations, preparing for key sales and account meetings and making sure decisions turn into action.
  • Participate in regular account planning with Account Directors and their teams, using the marketing plan, account knowledge and pipeline to identify priority business development activity and capture the resulting commitments.
  • Own the follow-through on those commitments: track them, chase them, unblock them and report progress to the Head of Sales.
  • Research target organisations and contacts, map warm networks and relationship paths, and identify the right people for MTM leaders and account teams to approach.
  • Design and run targeted outreach with the Head of Sales and account teams, and lower the friction on execution by building lists, drafting messages, coordinating touchpoints and supporting event outreach and follow-up.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing to convert campaigns, thought leadership and events into targeted sales activity, and feed back what account teams are seeing in the market.
  • Make sure upper funnel leads and agreed opportunities have a clear owner and next action and keep the sales side of HubSpot accurate and useful in partnership with Marketing.
  • Own clear, simple sales and pipeline reporting for the Head of Sales, including the monthly sales report, using the data to identify gaps and bottlenecks in follow-up and conversion.
  • Continually improve how MTM sells: sharper targeting, better process, less friction and more good outreach going out the door.
