Basic Purpose
The Digital Marketing Manager will work closely with the Communications and Development teams to manage all aspects of digital communications and marketing. Key expectations include the coordination, planning, execution, and evaluation of all digital marketing functions. Position will also oversee all online fundraising campaigns including messaging, metric monitoring, and digital donor communications. This position reports to the Director of Public Relations and Communications and is within the Development Department, focused on fundraising, communications, and program and service growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Creation and management of all websites and online donation platforms for The Salvation Army Del Oro Division, including all associated Corps, special events, fundraising efforts, and digital marketing campaigns.
Integrate national and territorial content and campaigns into local websites.
Implement digital marketing content across Del Oro websites.
Consistently communicate digital marketing activities and initiatives with all Corps and invested parties.
Maintain a strong working relationship with officers and staff at the Corps level, assisting and consulting with them regarding digital marketing and fundraising needs.
Provide input to promote Salvation Army programs and services to attract new donors.
Develop an optimal digital posting schedule, considering web traffic and engagement metrics.
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva to produce graphics, edit photos, and create eye-catching graphics and images to promote messaging on digital platforms.
Manage and facilitate online communications between the public and The Salvation Army.
Work with Corps, fundraisers, and other invested parties to create custom email marketing campaigns through approved Del Oro Divisional platforms (currently ViewSpark).
Utilize approved digital platforms (currently GoFundMePro) to deliver compelling fundraising campaigns as needed. This will include all new fundraising campaigns, holiday campaigns, other seasonal campaigns, and program and Corps fundraising campaigns.
Update online resources for internal information sharing (currently SharePoint) throughout the Division and Territory.
Continuously track online metrics, including trends, searches, click-through rates, abandonment rates, and other metrics as needed.
Work closely with Social Media Manager to cross-promote digital messaging and execution.
Serve as the primary user of GoFundMe Pro, The Salvation Army’s digital fundraising platform.
Serve as the primary backup for Social Media Coordinator role, providing support in content creation, distribution and management on Divisional social media channels.
Serve as the primary contact for inquiries received through our website portal, connecting people with services or programs or providing them with relevant information.
Donor Relations and Events
Assist with strategy, execution, marketing, and promotion of large in-person fundraising events as needed.
Work closely with Print Marketing Manager and Director of Public Relations and Communications to create marketing and donor relations materials that ensure a unified message across all platforms.
Work with community groups online to build awareness for programs, services, and events relevant to their respective demographics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Web Design, Computer Science, or Business preferred.
- A composite of work experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties required at a high level.
- Proficiency in online fundraising platforms, web design and management, and metric tracking software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
- Experience with email marketing and website editing tools.
- Experience with HTML/CSS preferred.
- Experience with philanthropic fundraising preferred.
- Must be able to understand, follow, and give oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to create and present speeches and presentations both internally and externally.
- Must possess strong administrative and interpersonal skills. Communication is key.
- Must be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure within tight time constraints at times.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License, pass all Salvation Army required driver safety tests at least annually, and be insurable at the normal ranges of risk assigned to passenger vehicle drivers in the state of California.

-Must possess a valid California driver’s license.

-Must be at least 21 years of age
-Complete the Salvation Army’s Decision Driving course training

Pay Range- $65,000-$71,000 a year Exempt
