Paid Search

The EU Head of Search owns product strategy and business outcomes for EU Paid Search, a program that invests billions annually across off-Amazon surfaces to drive customer acquisition and settlement. The role sits at the intersection of science, business strategy, and partner management, with direct influence over the AME and WIMSI tech roadmaps (without direct reporting lines). This includes owning channel strategy across bidding, valuation, and investment allocation; driving the experimentation roadmap (elasticity, incrementality, audience sharing); managing the Google relationship at a strategic level; and leading cross-functional alignment across science, engineering, analytics, legal, and privacy to bring new capabilities to production.

Key job responsibilities

-Own EU Paid Search strategy and P&L outcomes. Define and execute the channel strategy across bidding, valuation, and investment allocation to maximize net LTFCF across EU5 and Emerging Marketplaces.

-Drive the experimentation and measurement roadmap. Design and execute elasticity tests (e2b2), incrementality measurement (RCTs), and new capability experiments (audience sharing, cohort-specialized bidding, signal accuracy improvements) to inform investment decisions.

-Influence the AME and WIMSI tech roadmaps. Shape the technical direction for attribution, bidding optimization, and signal infrastructure without direct reporting lines. Translate business priorities into science and engineering requirements.

-Manage the Google partnership. Own the strategic relationship with Google at a senior level: negotiate capabilities, shape how we share signals, and influence their platform roadmap to serve our objectives.

-Lead cross-functional alignment. Align science, engineering, analytics, finance, legal, and privacy teams to bring new capabilities from concept to production. Operate as the connective tissue across functions that don't naturally coordinate.

-Set investment strategy by customer cohort. Translate lifecycle priorities (NTA acquisition, settlement acceleration, lapse prevention) into differentiated channel-level investment decisions, ensuring spend reflects the true incremental value of each cohort.

-Build and develop the team. Lead a team of PMTs, scientists, BIEs, and SDEs. Own hiring, talent development, and org design to build a high-performing, analytically rigorous team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience managing teams
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in marketing or marketing research
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Photoshop, video editing, and related tools
  • Experience in inter-team working skills to develop partnership with partner, tech team and operating at leadership levels
